Can you run me through what the numbers mean again in terms of admissions? I know the highest is 12, but how much do you need for admission and what do 10s and 11s mean?

Three members of faculty will review your application and each will give your application a 2, 3, or a 4. The three scores are added together, and 12s are admitted. Some 11s are admitted too, and some 11s and 10s are typically waitlisted.

How are people handling scholarship offers from other schools that have early deadlines? Like my deadline is April 1st and I may not hear a reply from Yale till mid-April. I know it says to email them if there are deadlines for scholarship offers, but I just wanted to know how others have been dealing with it.

Curious about this as well... what did you end up doing? I have an April 21st deadline and don't know if it's worth mentioning.
I imagine the next week and a half will be as revealing as a burlesque show but with a painful disrobing act

tl;dr: schools are not allowed to force you to withdraw a pending application as a condition for accepting a scholarship. If you do want to accept the scholly and later find out that you got into Y, so long as you're ok with eating the non-refundable deposit, there is nothing the other school can do.

Also what is the deal with the timing of the tweets? The time stamp often doesn't match up with the indication of how many hours ago it appeared. It's now 11:30 and obviously calls are not going out, but there hasn't been a closing tweet yet. I bet it will appear later with an incongruous time stamp.

They just tweeted about wrapping about late calls... Not wholly unrealistic given that they could still be calling West Coast ppl and more likely to pull late nights at the office since it's the end of the season

There have been a couple of times now that people have commented (at a very late hour) that they haven't tweeted about finishing calls and then a few minutes later, they do. Methinks Asha has push notifications or something about TLS yale thread posts.
