Anyone else who went Decision Finalized on 3/4 hear anything? The increasing wait makes me feel as though a snail mail letter is coming my way

Nothing Even if it is snail mail I am hoping it is a big package.

Keep the faith. The acceptance "package" is an envelope with one piece of paper in it.

Ok, that is good to know haha, every acceptance package since applying to undergrad has been a big envelope for me.

I submitted a request about two weeks ago and just received a response that all travel stipend funds have been exhausted for this cycle--looks like we're on our own. Where are you traveling from?

You should probably wait for 2014 employment stats although USC already beat GWU by a ton for big law(32% vs 21%).. USC had a bad 2013 year because of unusually high grads. USC>>>>GW equal money.. It's no contest..

NLJ's go-to law school data doesn't include all biglaw jobs. we should look at the percentage of graduates went to firms with more than 100 attorneys. Each school will publish that date 9 months after the previous class graduate (10 months this year), it is also available on LST.

The data for class of 2014 on LST will be published late april or early may.

I submitted a request about two weeks ago and just received a response that all travel stipend funds have been exhausted for this cycle--looks like we're on our own. Where are you traveling from?

I asked a few days ago with a follow-up e-mail, and I got the response that they would get to it when they get to it, basically. I haven't heard anything more about them being out of funds. They could've just run out, but why not send a mass e-mail?

I'm just relaying what they told me: "Thank you for submitting your application for the USC Gould Travel Stipend Program. This year, we received a high volume of applications for travel funds, far more than we anticipated. I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you a travel stipend...all travel funds have been exhausted so we are unable to grant you a stipend."

Probably no money from both sides, i've asked GWU to add me onto the scholarship reconsideration list, desperate for any amount of comforting money. I also think living expense would be higher in DC than LA, but what attracts me the most are those intl organization internship/job opportunities in DC
LA definitely will have the better climate, food, nicer people around, will look forward to the snail mail first...

Once you remove school funded jobs it is much closer. If you want to be in DC or NYC, I would lean GWU. CA, then USC. They are both pretty regional.[/quote]

as long as the school funded jobs are not discounted by LST, that means these are long term, full time school funded positions that are not just constructed for boosting the school's 9 months after graduation employment statistic. For example, graduates can have these indirectly funded jobs while preparing for bar tests, then move on.[/quote]

Thanks all for sharing. I am also in the position of no news, was accepted very end of Jan, received the email to request travel funds on Feb 6 and I definitely submitted within 24 hours, haven't heard. Perhaps I will email also. I live on east coast and am also weighing against Northwestern's ASW the same weekend.

Wow! Well if the Friday decision pattern emerges today, we should see some 'Final Reviews' in the next few hours. If not....

I wonder if they're holding off till next week due to the rankings coming out? Random idea I had. Regardless, even though we've seen that CR2 is usually a good sign, I'm still worried at being held at this stage for longer than usual.

nothing much... I emailed to ask and they said the decision was mailed to me last Friday and I shall wait... so the status only changes after the mail is out, huh? I have this unsettling feeling that it will be a ding...
