Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2018 applicants
i've been pre-approved but i'm still waiting to hear back from the travel agency regarding a flight. they're taking their sweet time :/fa1493 wrote:has anyone had their reimbursement for ASD pre approved yet?
Also there are basically no hotels available in Nashville for March 13th because that week is the SEC tournament. Questionable decision by Vandy to schedule the ASD for that particular week...

mind sharing the name of the hotel? All the hotels I've found so far are like $200-$300 per nightHikkomorist wrote:I'm staying at a hotel a little distance away, but they have a free shuttle to the airport that I plan to use to get to the law school. Their hotel stipend is covering about two-thirds of the cost of the stay.supersplittysplitter wrote:i've been pre-approved but i'm still waiting to hear back from the travel agency regarding a flight. they're taking their sweet time :/fa1493 wrote:has anyone had their reimbursement for ASD pre approved yet?

I got holiday inn express a few miles from campus for $89. I had to basically beg the manager for the vanderbilt rate and I think he ended up putting the Med school rate in to get it to go through bc of the SEC tournament and what not. I called about 10 places before that.

depending on how comfortable you are with/ Vandy being willing to cover it, Airbnb is also a good option - there are still a couple options around 100 bucks

Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2018 applicants
days inn coming up clutch.....
on another note, does anyone know if vanderbilt takes kindly to bringing guests to ASD events? My friend offered to drive me to ASD which ends up being a lot more convenient..I was wondering if he would be allowed to come along during the day.

Nashville has no public transportation right? I really want to find a hotel within walking distance to the Vanderbilt campus, otherwise I don't know how I'm gonna get there

I visited last week and stayed at the Scarritt Bennett Center. Its literally across the street from the law school. Not luxurious or anything, but it was clean and totally fine for a one night stay.supersplittysplitter wrote:Nashville has no public transportation right? I just can't stand this limbo anymore. If they're going to waitlist me I wish they would just do it already!

It definitely would be up there if I were to be admitted. I'm trying not to have a top school throughout the process because in past experiences that has only led to letdowns haha. What about you?

No, the March one. But I would imagine that you could get similar rates for April too.fa1493 wrote:Are you going to the April ASD?keekztresq wrote:Big Red wrote:Well I guess this is what I get for putting it off...fa1493 wrote:the hotel search is looking bleak
