Ah, true. I live across the Atlantic so I suppose my frantic status checking would be best served later in the day. Maybe they'll decide to throw me a bone.altf4 wrote:It's still early enough in the day!! ^^mindthegap wrote:Lucky duck.altf4 wrote:Finally, movement! submitted early- to mid- December, complete 1 1/09 and complete 2 1/23.
I logged on to my status checker as soon as I saw your post but, nope, still complete 1 (12/22).

the Pacific, here. I at least get to sleep (restlessly) and wake up to good/bad/non-existent news. Probably explains my lack of sleep for the past monthmindthegap wrote: Ah, true. Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
I interviewed Tuesday afternoon, and was placed on reserve this morning. My numbers are above both 75th percentiles. Cornell really is one of my top choices. What does the reserve list mean? What can I do at this point to get in? If I get in, can I still get scholarship money?

I was under the impression that Cornell didn't do YP. Has anybody been able to get off the reserve lost before they review the list again in late May?

What exactly does it mean to be placed on reserved? Is that equivalent to WL?usernotfound wrote:Just got placed on reserve. Pretty shocked and disappointed. Cornell was one of my top choices.

Placed on reserve - sort of expected it considering my stats and how long they took to get to me.
GPA < 25
LSAT > 75
Submitted mid-September.

Honest question: if Cornell is the lowest T14 I applied to and I only did it in the hopes of big $$, where should I begin looking to answer the "why Cornell" question?

For Clinics
For Centers
For Journals
I found two things from the website that aligned with my goals/interest and wove it into a coherent short paragraph.

Journals are a pretty weak answer. Clinics and maybe centers are good if they really align with your interests.nickhalden wrote:http://www.lawschool.cornell.edu/radio1nowhere wrote:Honest question: if Cornell is the lowest T14 I applied to and I only did it in the hopes of big $$, where should I begin looking to answer the "why Cornell" question?

Best answer: http://www.visitithaca.com/ + something about a "small, intimate community."
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
