Just got an email for a group interview request with Dean Cornblatt. Can anyone who's gone through this already explain what happens in the interview and how to prepare?
Wander through this thread and you'll find some good answers to this.

Has anyone interviewed and is still waiting on an acceptance/decision?

Yes, about three weeks ago. Still have gotten no status updates or anything since.

Do it! It's actually fun, he's really nice, and it's very interesting to see other applicants IRL.

There's really nothing you need to do to prepare. I would suggest wearing business formal/casual for the interview and bringing pen and paper.

Is it normal to wait over 11 days for your alumni interviewer to even contact you?

I think so from what I have heard. Mine took about 10 days IIRC.

Went from no updates straight to interview request. I'm kind of nervous about it since everyone is saying it's not really much of an "interview." At least with a real interview you know what you're in for.

The email says there is no penalty for declining, but as a splitter I don't think that would be prudent.

I am - kind of. I interviewed 11/02 (I think..) and got an email on 11/25 saying that "the Committee on Admissions has chosen to postpone your final decision."

Hello all,

First time posting, long time lurker haha.

I am getting a little nervous...I submitted 11/11, had have had three updates (11/14, 11/20, and 11/27). No interview request, and no letter or ding email. Is anybody else in this situation? It has been over a week since (what should have been) my last update, but I am hoping the holidays are to blame.

The only status update I had was the friday before the email (which came on a monday, so it was the next business day). There was a little bit of thought before that 3 updates was followed by an admission, but I'm not sure that was true/is still the case.

Well at least I am not the only one. Here is hoping that we all hear good news shortly! The not knowing is driving me crazy haha.

Has anyone had one post-interview update and been accepted?

Hey guys,

Went complete today. Should I expect a decision before January? LSN suggests somewhat mixed/incomplete information. Just wondering how it's been going for those of you already in/finished with the GTown process this year.

Probably shouldn't expect one before January. It probably slightly depends on whether or not you do an interview, but I would say it is unlikely.

Does anyone get in after being postponed? I assume this is a step below a waitlist...correct?

"Please be aware that only a small number of early applicants have had their applications held, and a number of those applicants in past years have subsequently been admitted."

This is one of the saddest things that I have seen in a long time. "a number" is so vague the prospects are looking down. Does anyone have the statistics about what happens for those that are being held?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
