I was the wait list with a 164/3.9
I don't have the luxury to wait it out so ill probably withdraw by the end of the week

Of course you do. All you would lose is a deposit (heck emory will reimburse you for one. Don't sell yourself short. Without knowing anything about you I would say you are definitely in with those numbers and I wouldn't worry about being rejected.

I'm a year out of process, but from what I remember the ABA does not allow binding scholarship agreements to be enforced.kayleighcheyenne wrote:I have binding scholarship offers to lose..

There's no reason to believe tomorrow will be a wasteland of rejections.

ha. say, is there such a thing as a non "generic rejection email"? What would that look like? Anyone else think 9pm is late enough that we can stop obsessively checking our emails?

Waitlist e-mail around 6 PM today, 161/3.6. Retaking in June in hopes of getting off some waitlists or maybe get some scholarship $$. Even if I were to get in, sticker price is downright scary. :/

I was waitlisted via email, but I don't really care. This late in the cycle, Emory was no longer on my radar. Good luck to those still looking to be admitted.

The dean specifically said to expect some scholarships to students off of the waitlist. Kill the June test, and you'll probably get some money. Good luck!grantev wrote:Waitlist e-mail around 6 PM today, 161/3.6. Retaking in June in hopes of getting off some waitlists or maybe get some scholarship $$. Looked in my inbox and saw a decision email from Emory. I was sooo excited that the wait was finally over...but I was waitlisted. The wait begins all over again.

I was accepted via e-mail a few hours ago with a surprisingly generous scholarship. Thankfully, they've given me a couple of weeks to think things over before deposits are due.

WL. 162 / 3.8. I was never really into Emory, so I withdrew. Hopefully opens up a spot for one of you cool kids!

If your undergrad has a pre-law office (and it isn't the school in question) I would suggest talking to them. My undergrad sorted some stuff out with LSAC for me even though I had graduated a couple years before.sublime12089 wrote:pinkyandthebrain wrote:I'm a year out of process, but from what I remember the ABA does not allow binding scholarship agreements to be enforced.kayleighcheyenne wrote:I have binding scholarship offers to lose..

Curious for any more information about this.

I would actually love that. I'd feel better knowing why I wasn't loved.rrghwb wrote:ha. say, is there such a thing as a non "generic rejection email"? What would that look like? "Here are the enumerated reasons you're not welcome in this year's class."

1) Masel Tov; 2) You considering Emory? I'm in the same boat (offer wise) and starting my dilligence on Emory emplyoment/clerkships/academics/regional strengths.SteelPenguin wrote:I was accepted via e-mail a few hours ago with a surprisingly generous scholarship.
