It's impossible to say. A teacher could theoretically give the entire class a B+ and a few people Bs and have a 3.25. Or a majority of the class could have As and the rest Cs. Only one of my classes actually released a distribution of grades and it was 5 As in a class of 90. Most people will get a B+ in any given class.Gotallanswers wrote:But what percentage of kids get A's?

Re: UF Class of 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Oh that sucks, so we have no idea which class gives the highest percentage of A's that way we can study for it a lot harder? If a professor just gave the whole class B+'s then I wouldn't study for it at all. I just was wondering if they tell us because I would be that kid the first day to ask what the distribution of grades is hahanebula666 wrote:It's impossible to say. You should study equally hard for your three substantive classesGotallanswers wrote:Oh that sucks, so we have no idea which class gives the highest percentage of A's that way we can study for it a lot harder? Is a a bachelors degree a requirement to enter law school. Lets say I am currently enrolled at UF and chose not to graduate so I can remain in the accounting program with out having to reapply. Will I not be able to enter the law school?
Edit:also I meet all of the requirements for a degree at UF. And can walk if needed, this is just so I can keep bright futures and prepaid and stuff, and not have to reapply to grad school.

If you are currently enrolled at UF it is probably just be best to contact the admissions office directly and inquire about your particular situation. Otherwise, I do believe a bachelors is required from US students.Gotallanswers wrote:Is a a bachelors degree a requirement to enter law school. You definitely have to have your bachelor's degree before classes begin.

Yea I figured I would have to. The accounting school wants me to get 3 letters of Rec so they can readmit me to the grad program that I am currently in. It's a hassle.

I'm disappointed to see that they chose not to release any information about salaries...

I have another question, as a law student do we have access to places on the law campus to study when the law library is not open?

I study at the UG library all the the time. Open 24 hours + Starbucks is clutch. Graduate students get a special floor reserved.Gotallanswers wrote:I have another question, as a law student do we have access to places on the law campus to study when the law library is not open?
As for the law campus, your card can get you in the cafeteria where there are lots of tables and a lounge area nearby. You can get in 24 hours a day except on home football games, when the whole school is locked/closed.

You can use the other library but I don't really see why you would need to unless you study at crazy hours or just want to get away from law students.Gotallanswers wrote:I have another question, as a law student do we have access to places on the law campus to study when the law library is not open?
The law library is open 7:30am - 11:30 pm Monday - Thursday, 7:30am-7:30pm on Friday, 10-6 on Saturday and 10am-11:30pm on Sunday.
The library is closed on Saturdays when we have home football games though.

I wonder if law students get access to the upper floors of Library West. I snuck in there with a grad friend once and it's pleasantly quiet! Also, I think west is currently 24 hours. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!Gator_Bait wrote:You can use the other library but I don't really see why you would need to unless you study at crazy hours or just want to get away from law students.Gotallanswers wrote:I have another question, as a law student do we have access to places on the law campus to study when the law library is not open?

Anyone know if they plan on reducing class size again this year? I'd love to see a 2xx size class.

It is mostly Friday nights and Saturday nights when the library closes at 6 along with ever single other library on campus that I will need another place to study. It's cause I'm a pretty big studier I like to study atleast 8 hours a day. And the library is only open like 8 hours on the weekend

Man, I'm probably not even gonna end up at UF but I have to say something. You have gotta chill out a little bit. Law school can be a very stressful time, but it hasn't even started and you're already analyzing every little thing. Studying for 8 hours a day is noble, but probably not healthy. Keep working hard and you'll succeed, I'm sure of it, just don't sacrifice everything else in your life for that "A".Gotallanswers wrote:Are the exams open book or closed books?

Re: UF Class of 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Yea, I know I can go overboard, left to myself I would study 12 hours a day and cut off social interaction with everyone in order to get the "A." haha thats why I decided to live in my fraternity house right next to the law school next year. So as much as I am going to study, it wont totally consume my life, as I will have other minor things to do.Aroldis105 wrote:Man, I'm probably not even gonna end up at UF but I have to say something. Nice, I'd love for it to drop some more. The class of 2012's 333 students is just way too much.Gator_Bait wrote:Our class size is at 284 right now but I think it started at 290slawww wrote:Anyone know if they plan on reducing class size again this year? I'd love to see a 2xx size class.
What's your opinion on the class sizes? I wish they broke them up into smaller sections.

I have bad news for you. Class of 2013 is at 349. We started right around 300. UF takes a ton of transfer students.slawww wrote:Nice, I'd love for it to drop some more. As for sections, the size is on your side. Depending how your professor treats the curve, there is more wiggle room at the top with a class size of around 100.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
