ASD will be March 21 22, 2013. There may be several competing school events so we have optional streamlined events as well on April 5th and 12th. We definitely hope you can visit with us on one of those days.

We do not offer travel stipends. However, we offer travel scholarships for a limited number of admitted students to attend our ASD program/OMVs (Organized Mini-Visits). Travel Scholarship Offers will be sent late January/February. Merit criteria for travel scholarships begins at a 169/3.6 for admitted students currently residing outside the state of Texas.

On that note, I am hoping for to be offered a travel "scholarship" since I meet the scores Dean Ingram cited above. Has anyone been contacted about receiving one yet or do you think I should just reach out to them?

That's a good idea. It also wouldn't hurt to indicate your financial need (if any) when asking and your strong desire to actually attend the school.

I was held in December and got accepted a couple of weeks ago via phone call. I thought maybe my new LORs helped, but a couple other splitters like me were accepted on the same day, so it was probably purely a numbers thing.

I think being held is still a good place to be in, and I have a good feeling you will get in eventually!
