Well, I applied after Thanksgiving. And my numbers are ok, but otherwise I'm a substandard college student. I wouldn't blame them for not taking me.

Keep your chin up, though.

Mine just moved to "in review" today. I'm pretty nervous about this one. My numbers are below median (3.5/160) but I'm hoping my enthusiasm for the school, where I did my undergrad, will give my app the boost that it needs. I love Iowa City and would totally be content there.

+1. You're definitely a splitter, but 167 is a fantastic LSAT! I was stoked on my first attempt when I got a 162!

From the looks of the acceptances on LSN, Iowa may be trying to increase their numbers. They might need that high LSAT to move the 75th bar.

With a 170?? Sorry to hear that. I figured that would be a high enough LSAT to be an automatic accept, despite a lower GPA.

It's NBD. I have better admits already, but I was rather expecting an admit for scholly leverage if nothing else. Oh well. Splitters gonna split!

Status updated today, "preliminary waitlist." Assuming that's just the same thing as a regular waitlist?

That means that they can pull your file back out at any time and make a decision before you're on the normal waitlist. I was P/WL last year, then went to normal waitlist, a few other people were on P/WL and some got accepted and denied before February. Hope that makes sense.
