Does that mean that everyone who hasn't had an answer yet (those WL + those who don't have any answer at all) won't hear anything until may? or only those on the waitlist?skitlets wrote:On the WL as well. If you're on the waitlist they aren't going to look at you again until May, once they start getting withdrawals. If they haven't made a decision yet you've probably still got a shot to get a straight acceptance. Good luck!

Re: UCLA 2011-2012 (class of 2015)
hey! sooo I know it is a bit early, but I am planning on sending a LOCI to UCLA this week as I am trying to get off of a wait list. The reason I want to send one today is because I visited a class and took a tour a week ago and thought I would send it soon after to describe the experience and reiterate my interest after the tour. however, I also want to update them on what I have been doing and stuff like that. I wrote out a draft of a LOCI fulfilling these two purposes, but it's awkward and long for me to "switch gears" after half of the LOCI.
Since I am riding out the wait list, do you think it would be appropriate to just write about the visit in this LOCI and throw something in there like, "In May I plan to write to you again about my recent accomplishments and my continued interest in UCLA Law." almost like a "This was part I, stay tuned for part II?"
Let me know if you think this is appropriate or if you have considered doing something similar. Thank you!

10/15 and still waiting. I'm thinking of calling on Friday if I don't hear by then since I don't have the money to do multiple seat deposits.moxy wrote:Same here .. my only expectation was some kind of a decision. i believe the bolded is frowned upon anyhow, even if you could afford it.Redclh wrote:10/15 and still waiting. I was under quite the opposite impression, that people actually turned in seat deposits quite often while waiting for waitlist decisions or no decisions at other places. It seems silly though to not turn in a seat deposit and hope to get in off the waitlist somewhere with no backup. Perhaps I misphrased my initial post.lrslayer wrote:i believe the bolded is frowned upon anyhow, even if you could afford it.

Re: UCLA 2011-2012 (class of 2015)
my bad, i thought you meant putting a deposit at two schools that you are accepted at. ya, i think people do pay depos at one school then have to pay at another when they get off a waitlist. but what i meant is you are not supposed to have more than one active seat held at a time.Redclh wrote:Redclh wrote:

Can law schools tell if you have more than one active seat held at the same time?
