EEEEEsh.... looking at LSN for yesterday, it seems like they were mostly rejections. One person said the rejection came via status checker and e-mail.

Eh, those all look like very predictable rejections, especially given all (that I saw) were RD.

Yeah, definitely. I just mean it in the sense that the rejections started coming out. I hadn't seen any until yesterday.

On a positive note, if we applied a in early October and have not been rejected yet... That could be a "glass half full situation"

I still say it's best to assume WL when it comes to UVA.

Submitted my application yesterday!

One question I am hoping you guys can help me out with --

When did you get an email from UVA acknowledging that they got your application?

I submitted Duke and Penn right after UVA and got emails from both schools w/ status checker info, but nothing from UVA. I have checked my spam as well. Is this normal? What should I do?

I submitted my UVA app on Nov. 2nd, same day as Georgetown and Duke. I've already gone complete at G-town and Duke, and haven't heard anything from UVA. I think the delay is normal, wouldn't worry about it too much yet.

Thank you... glad I am not alone here. I'm also complete at duke. I love UVA I want them to acknowledge me soon :/

I wouldn't worry if you haven't heard yet... and I wouldn't get my hopes up that you'll hear within a week or two either.

yea lol, i went complete in early september with above 75th gpa n lsat...still havent heard back yet...even though other people have...im getting jumpy for sure ...

I think we're just overly neurotic to stick around. Most of my friends who are applying to law school are not fans of TLS because TLS tends to stress them out more than the application process does.

Seems like were in the same boat... But at least we know theres nothing wrong with our apps because we did get the kb1s... Hopefully we'll both hear from va soon too tho!

I forgot to mention, ED, which means they have 15 days. So they have until next Thursday. So yes, it is too early to think like this but the fact that people that went complete after me have heard makes me nervous.

Not a Virginia resident, btw. I use the term backup loosely, lol, as I have a very slim chance here anyways, but yeah.

I got a lovely UVA package this weekend with the wonderful surprise of a $75,000 scholly, not $25,000 as I thought I'd heard. Very exciting!

I haven't researched this, but it's my understanding that you could later change your RD application to ED. So, as long as you don't get rejected at UVA prior to finding out about a rejection from Penn (in a worst case scenario), you ought to be able to switch your application type. I'm pretty sure people have made the change while on the wait-list and later been accepted.
