It seems as if these schools value a high gpa over a high lsat. 4 years of excellent grades should count far more than how well one does on a single day on a given exam!LSATurday wrote:Add me to the list of WTFs!

This statement is flawed for so many reasons. I was going to list a few of the many, but it's not even necessary.masterthearts wrote:It seems as if these schools value a high gpa over a high lsat. 4 years of excellent grades should count far more than how well one does on a single day on a given exam!LSATurday wrote:Add me to the list of WTFs!

Come on guys. A lot of these are obviously YP. If you have above average #s and were WL but would truly be interested in attending, send a LOCI. If you wouldn't then realize the school is just protecting itself and move on to the bigger and better places you might be interested in.

Yes. Having great numbers and being dinged is interesting. Having great numbers and being waitlisted is not. If you really want in, just write the LOCI.JJDancer wrote:Come on guys. around Thanksgiving...maybe like 11/26 or 11/27 ...complete 12/1, ready for review 12/3, then in review 1/14, decision 1/26bucky0486 wrote:For those who got decisions, when did you submit your applications?

Applied 12/7, complete 12/10 1st IR 12/17, 2nd IR 1/21.Gotti wrote:around Thanksgiving...maybe like 11/26 or 11/27 ...complete 12/1, ready for review 12/3, then in review 1/14, decision 1/26bucky0486 wrote:For those who got decisions, when did you submit your applications?
And for the record, I'm not hating on UMN for practicing YP. It's just disappointing to work hard and put together the best application you can, and not have it pay off. It's not UMN's fault, it's the screwed up ratings game.

IIRC someone earlier even said they got an acceptance via phone call and then a WL email. So it might be a glitch.dcwumpus wrote:Okay, this is odd. I JUST received a second WL email.

Ha, got it. As long as they don't start sending me emails about xxx webcams and free prescription drugs online, I'm fine.Autoaccept wrote:Yep, I got in via voicemail last week and just got a wait list e-mail.

If accepted to Minnesota, it would be wise to avoid withdrawing other applications or denying other acceptances until this situation is corrected.

Minnesota seems extremely glitch-prone this cycle

Got the "decision sent" status today after IR 1/7, but still no email. Should it really take more than just a few minutes for me to receive an email after that status is changed? Needless to say I will be a very unhappy dude if in a couple hours I get dinged or WL'ed via email.
Sorry for all you guys experiencing communication problems from UMN's office. I hope I won't be joining you!

Mmm sorry I hate to be the one that says this...but my status checker says Admitted - Congratulations!! 01/26/11 (even though it updated yesterday...)SlimCharles wrote:Got the "decision sent" status today after IR 1/7, but still no email.
