Sorry to everyone who was DR and did not receive an email today.
BC is very hard to figure out. I feel like a lot of people with good #'s aren't getting in.

Did ANYONE who went DR yesterday get an email today? I was among the people who went DR yesterday, no email (but something under mailings). l've looked on here and LSN and haven't noticed anybody who got an email acceptance in the past day.queenlizzie13 wrote:![]()

Basically.. If I get my first ding on Christmas Eve I will be apoplectic. Kind of gross timing, BC.

If that happens, that would be horrid and completely classless of BC.ads222 wrote:Did ANYONE who went DR yesterday get an email today? I originally wrote that it was classless, but I edited it because I thought I might seem too harsh. Thanks for saying what I was thinking, hahaqueenlizzie13 wrote:ads222 wrote:queenlizzie13 wrote:![]()

Last year and in 2008-2009, based off LSN -- http://bc.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/0910/ -- it looked like, by and large, you were safe with a 166 (other years, the key LSAT was a 167). Maybe something's changing? Maybe not?

Re: Boston College Applicants Thread
Looking on LSN, so far for this cycle, it looks like if you have a 167 - 168 you are largely safe as long as you have a decent GPA (3.5 and above). There are a couple of reverse splitters getting in...seems like they are trying to raise their medians, perhaps on both counts.ads222 wrote:I originally wrote that it was classless, but I edited it because I thought I might seem too harsh. Congrats all getting in!
If I don't get in because of my 166 I will go crazy...I would think that a 3.6, Masters, 2 years TFA would be enough to push me over because I am right on their medians. Here's hoping for today!
Good luck to everyone else!

Thanks! Me too, I was trying to figure out which trend was going to break: the e-mail the day after DR or the package mailed under mailings. I wonder if they weren't in the office yesterday, Boston and some surrounding areas got hit pretty hard with snow.queenlizzie13 wrote:Congrats RPK34! Congrats to all!! Random question, does anyone know how much geography factors into admissions? Like, for BC, would being from MA be a plus since you're more likely to go or a minus, because you're overrepresented? Do they care?

Re: Boston College Applicants Thread
Probably a plus. Schools want to admit students who are actually interested in going there.sandwichday wrote:Congrats to all!! Re: Boston College Applicants Thread
I've wondered about the geography question myself. I'm a CA resident living in DC, but I was wondering if the fact that I live on the East Coast makes them think I'm more serious about attending a school in Boston. I'm already accepted and thinking very seriously of going there.

Decision rendered for me too. I am a super reverse splitter. There is no way I am getting in unless a Christmas miracle happens.... Waitlist and rejections come by mail?
A decision has been rendered on your application to Boston College Law School by the Admissions Committee. A decision letter will be mailed via U.S. Postal Service within 3-5 days from the Decision Status Date and will be sent to your permanent address.
Best,
Boston College Law School
Admissions office
I just got the decision rendered today, so I am assuming rejection since it says this in my status. At least I get it after Christmas I guess lol.
