Doing a UCLA scheduled visit some time in the next couple weeks - has anyone else here done it, and if so, did you visit a specific class? Any input about it in general?
I need to pull out all the stops to clear my name from this blasted wait-list!

I submitted on 11/12 and got an email the same day saying they had received it. I never got an email saying I was complete, but got the acceptance phone call yesterday. Good luck everyone!

Hey =) My cycle hasn't even started lol I haven't heard back from anyone yet. UIUC is gonna send out its 2nd batch of decisions on Friday so I'm excited for that...hopefully it's an acceptance!!! *crosses fingers*
I'm sorry to hear your cycle isn't going that great...it's still early, so hopefully it'll pick up!! Good luck and keep me updated!

Cardozo took me today! Still in tier 2, but barely, so if they offer me any $ they'll move up to being my choice over McGeorge. I feel a bit better... but I'd really like to lock down one tier 1 acceptance before I really can let out my breath. Hopefully my UCLA visit goes well
I hope you get taken by UIUC, that'd be amazing!!!

Good luck with UIUC on Friday! Knowing I at least have that coming has lessened my anxiousness about every other school, though just a tiny bit.Gotti wrote: Hey =) My cycle hasn't even started lol I haven't heard back from anyone yet. Complete 11/23, it makes me so fidgety to see others on LSN with later complete dates and lesser #s with acceptances (some with $!).
Dear UCLA, I legitimately really like your school. Please give me (and the other completes before me) a decision like you did for the other folks after us!

As has been pointed out to me by many intrepid TLS'ers, just b/c someone has inferior #'s and gets accepted with or without $ before you does not speak to your own creds. Perhaps those inferior #'s were accompanied with much stronger softs... it's hard to say.pereira6 wrote:Complete 11/23, it makes me so fidgety to see others on LSN with later complete dates and lesser #s with acceptances (some with $!).

I totally understand your frustration. I was WL'd at Washington and Lee with far superior numbers (but nowhere near high enough to reach YP status) than people who were accepted, and I didn't apply that late either. Sometimes, a school just wants to take their time with given apps. Think about R6_Philly. He has acceptances to a half-dozen T14 schools and UCLA still hasn't even told him yes or no! Since SEPTEMBER! Just relax boss, you'll be fine

I officially dislike UCLA and will root against them in all major sports unless they're playing about two specific teams for the rest of my life. Still waiting...oh well.
