Hahaha that would be so cruel to tell someone two days before the deposit deadline! My guess is that it has to come earlier. But I might have a scholarship deadline during the first week of April, and I let them know that a couple weeks ago. So hopefully they get back to me this week or next because if I get the other scholly I'll have to withdraw anyway.

Yea, they would not really do that (i would hope). I can wait as long as they need though

I am starting to become very impatient. To those who applied in October, I cannot imagine the pain.

I went complete and under review in January and still nothing.
No hold email, no reserve, no rejection, and no acceptance. Just nothing.
I'm starting to jump everytime I get a new email or phone call and
I'm dreading/can't wait to go home and check my mail.

congrats! although I didn't know Columbia acceptances could come via email thought it was VCE or WL/ding. I guess it doesn't matter since I'm neurotically checking my email as is...why not throw in another thing to look for?

For the last couple months they've been emailing the scanned acceptance letter before mailing it.

Same. Just cold, stony silence. I checked my email like 20 times today. I don't know if I'm on the fast track to the waitlist or if they're just taking this long to process all the application...

For what it's worth, I got in on 3/8 after submitting 11/26 and going complete in December. I never got held or had any emails from them in between.

That's terrific, congratulations! I know I'm being a little ridiculous complaining about not hearing since January, but I haven't heard anything from ANY of my schools and it's making me really antsy, especially since loads of other later applicants have heard already. Thanks for the hope!!

So I totally don't have the numbers to get in to Columbia and was completely surprised to get their "reserve" letter email over spring break. I expected nothing less than a courteous ding from them and I probably wouldn't have even applied (since its such a stretch) if it were not for the letter I received from their student veterans organization inviting me to apply. Does anyone know if there is a difference between being waitlisted and "reserved" or are these terms synonymous? Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks.
