Welp I'm gonna be in an LDR for the next three years. Fun. At least I have a ton of free flights.

Too soon to be having them. Class hasn't even started. Just imagine the nightmares you will be having once in school.The_Pluviophile wrote:Too soon to have them, or too soon to bring up that you're having them?Mr_Chukes wrote:too soon.Gitaroo_Dude wrote:Anyone else already having law school related nightmares?
Imagine getting cold called and when you are about to answer and everyone is looking at you strangely and you realize you're naked. Now that's a nightmare lol.

If you guys are both mature and know what you're getting into, it's not that bad. In the abstract it sucks having to rely on the strength of a wifi connection for most of your day-to-day interactions, but it's totally doable and you definitely get used to it.bwaldorf wrote:Welp I'm gonna be in an LDR for the next three years. I've been in one since May 2013 (1hr away), then May 2014 (7 hrs away)bwaldorf wrote:Welp I'm gonna be in an LDR for the next three years. Fun. At least I have a ton of free flights.
If you have an end goal and your own life, it's reasonable, especially when you're at school. I'm not at school so it kind of sucks at times. But at school you have your own social network and things to do to keep you busy.

I still have nightmares about UG even though I'm seven years out, lol. I'm honestly surprised it took me this long to start having LS nightmares.Mr_Chukes wrote:Too soon to be having them. what are some good roommate questions that i should be asking when picking people to live with? I lived in a single all throughout undergrad and now in a one bedroom and i really don't know what to look out for. If they seem somewhat clean + nice they're probably ok right..?

LDRs suck. But so does breaking up. But LDRs suck more.

ask about cleanliness. I had dirty roommates and our kitchen was a nightmare.Stylnator wrote:what are some good roommate questions that i should be asking when picking people to live with? ime 9/11 truthers should be a hard no. Got paired with one freshman yr of UG an he was insane and annoying. Once he tried to exorcise a demon that he accused me of admitting into our room - was kinda scared to sleep from then on.Stylnator wrote:what are some good roommate questions that i should be asking when picking people to live with? another good thing to ask about is what their sleep schedule is. are they a morning person or night owl? that can be a problem sometimes if you and your roommate are opposite. and also their feelings about having people over who don't live at the apartment. and how loud of a person they are (do they love listening to music 100% of the time through giant speakers? will they get mad if that's something you love?).Stylnator wrote:what are some good roommate questions that i should be asking when picking people to live with? Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants (flexin pole)
although it is less of a problem if you're assertive! I would literally walk into the living room and turn down the TV volume, turn off all the lights (so it doesn't come through the door), and notify everyone that I'm going to sleep before I went to bedairwrecka wrote:another good thing to ask about is what their sleep schedule is. are they a morning person or night owl? that can be a problem sometimes if you and your roommate are opposite. and also their feelings about having people over who don't live at the apartment. and how loud of a person they are (do they love listening to music 100% of the time through giant speakers? will they get mad if that's something you love?).Stylnator wrote:what are some good roommate questions that i should be asking when picking people to live with? but on a serious note, I agree with this! it sucks rooming with people who stay up way later than you and are constantly talking/laughing.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
