Went to an event today where I knew that I'd see a lot of my friends, so I wore a shirt from my school just so people wouldn't ask where I was going. Three people still asked. Apparently not enough flexing, should've worn a full outfit.

For those who have successfully negotiated, have you like sent a general email to ask to speak to someone who deals with financial aid, or do you just send an email to the financial aid email address and lay it all out on the table in your first message? I just visited the school.

I really just don't want to spend another three years long distance, and I really want to take part in the opportunities afforded at those schools

I really just don't want to spend another three years long distance, and I really want to take part in the opportunities afforded at those schools

at sticker? you have great options and NYU/CLS aren't worth that much more. though I think you said your SO is in NYC so that complicates things. but I definitely don't think the opportunities available at CLS/NYU are that much greater to justify sticker price over $$ at T13s. plus all the schools you're deciding between will get you back to NYC

Yeah, it's a lot of money, but I thankfully was able to save up a year of COA, so I wouldn't be in debt for the full sticker price. Thanks for the support and listening to my commiseration
