Wowsa. I submitted 1/31, went complete at 2/3 and I've been impatiently waiting. I can't imagine how anxious you've been! Good luck!!

Okay, I hope someone can help me with this - the Columbia finaid office says that they work only with need. The admissions office handles merit aid, but after you're accepted, there is no further offer of merit aid. So if I want to bargain using other acceptances/scholarships/incriminating information, which office would I contact? And do I have to wait to contact them until May, when they finally get to me in the need based pile?

Yep. (You're correct). Once you hit complete you just sit around forever until you get a ding letter or email.

Do any forgottens have scholarship deadlines they will have to answer to soon? I have a deadline in early April for a significant scholarship at one of my top choice schools and I'm wondering what to do about it as I've still heard nothing from Columbia. Any suggestions?

if anyone cares, according to the finaid office they are not a matching school but any information should go to them. Also, they said it's okay to fax. Seriously? They want my tax return and my parents tax return coming through the fax? It will be occupied till next monday.

i faxed mine on march 1 and it went through right away; then i called and made sure they got everything and they picked up the phone and helped me. !

between my parents' and mine, there must be forty pages. If i got a forty page fax, I'd rescind the offer of admission. But if I mail it they'll never get it.

This is correct...hold and reserve are not thr same thing. Have any holds heard back yet? Can't believe CLS is taking so long (at least for me haha).
