Congrats to everyone who received news about scholarships today! If I somehow manage to get admitted(which would be a minor miracle), I'll see y'all there in the fall.

all of my information is listed on my lsn: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/Stephanie13

Also can I just say that I think it's pretty crazy that I received about 7K less a year than fallguy and I feel like our numbers are fairly similar. Not to say that I'm not grateful for the scholly of course!!

Ugh, now I wait wondering if I didn't get anything or it's just my terrible mail.

Congrats to those of you who've already received scholly packets!!

15,300/yearly Dean's Scholarship... Not sure that is enough to make up the difference since my intention is to go Public Interest.

Didn't get anything in the mail today in Houston. I guess tomorrow I'll post up on the porch with a chair, a book, and some (hopefully celebratory but perhaps coping) beer and wait for the postman.

For those with $$ info, did it come in a big packet or just a small envelope or what?

It came in a packet, with a letter about the scholarship and another about ASD. Also included an alumni magazine. Hope that helps!

Have any PT admits received scholly info? Not that I expect to get one. I'm just curious as to if they sent them all at the same time.

Just received 25k in Austin. I'm completely shocked. This definitely puts SMU at the top of my list, barring any other unexpected scholly offers. :D

What were you hoping for? From what I've read, 25k was the highest given out this batch.

i bet you they give bigger schollys, cause i got $30,200 and my numbers aren't their best.

after actually looking into cost of living etc, i realized that even with the scholly it's still going to cost more than some of my other higher ranked schools - does smu match/compete? i'm big on prestige (even though i kind of try not to be), but i also already have $100k in loans from undergrad so i'm trying to keep an open mind...

this scholly is just marginally better than what i got from UT, and i guess i was hoping for something substantially better?

COL?

Dallas is dirt-cheap to live compared to every other major city. I guess it's more expensive than Lexington or Winston-Salem, but not by much.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
