I am actually going to send an update I think. My GPA raised a little this semester, one publication, honors graduation, extra letter of rec and a note telling them they are far and away my top choice. Here's to hoping.

Worked abroad for a bit and then worked in DC on policy and human rights - currently finishing up a masters degree in human rights and law.

quick question for anyone with a similar experience. i submitted my apps without my last rec, received an email from stanford on 11/23 that my application was incomplete. the rec was submitted on 12/9. i still have not received anything from stanford saying that my app is now complete, as the first email set that i would. should i go ahead and call to make sure everything is as it should be? wait a few days? i don't want to be a hassle, but i'm dying... i've heard back from everywhere but my top three, so i am anxious to get the ball rolling with SLS

I think you would be okay to call; it's been a month. Just a quick call to see if they received your letter. They will probably tell you they have it, and that there is a lag in their email system so you should be receiving it in a few days.

Allright--I have a general question--have any of the people who have been been accepted applied dual degree?

I applied a long time ago, and have obviously been passed over for the first round of admissions...I'm just trying to decide if this means "You won't get in so stop thinking about it," or if it just could have been delayed b/c of the dual degree.

Can anyone (maybe current students) comment on this?

Just submitted, hopefully won't be at too much of a disadvantage. I predict that I'm in the middle of the herd, so I probably would've been put-off till later anyway.

ugh, just got an incomplete email (applied end of december) because my dean still hasn't sent in form b, which i mailed to him mid-december. any idea how quickly i will receive a complete email once the form arrives at stanford?

You may not receive a complete email at all. Many people on here will tell you that they either have never received one or received it only after calling to see if there was some reason they weren´t complete yet. Since you received something telling you you were incomplete, I might check in with the dean´s office, and, if you can verify that it was sent some time ago, respond to the Stanford admissions folks to let them know that, as far as you and your school are aware, they should have processed form b by now.

yeah, at this point I would really just love to have all my decisions in so I can start thinking about the next steps...visiting, finaid, etc...

It's down for me now too. From what I can remember, the applicant's LSAT was 173 and his GPA was 3.85+.

Poli Sci / Theoretical math double major with good ECs. He's also been out of undergrad for two years and was/is working for some public policy institute.
