Have my JS1 soon. Are all interviews done by JS, Tom, or Anne?

What are your stats? I'm 168/3.99, applied end of September, no JS1ReadyToStart wrote:Any reverse splitters get JS1's yet? I went complete in mid-November, and while I don't expect a JS1 necessarily, it'd be great to see if anybody else with similar stats has gotten one yet.

How extreme does it need to be to be considered a reverse splitter? My LSAT is at the 25th but my GPA is above median (not quite at 75th unfortunately), and I got a JS1 yesterday.ReadyToStart wrote:Any reverse splitters get JS1's yet? No. I had mine done by a really friendly recent HLS graduate (C/O 2015) It was very easygoing and more of a conversation the question-answer. She did like 70% of the talking!

Does it mean anything if you had an interview with an admissions officer vs. a recent grad?

Do we think it indicates more people being interviewed?

Maybe! I was shocked to be in the 1st wave of JS1s because I have GPA<25th and 25th<LSAT<50th but was interviewed by recent alumlawschool2016nyc wrote:Do we think it indicates more people being interviewed?

How have you guys been updating your application? I want to send in my fall grades, and I'm not sure which avenue (sending directly or via LSAC) would be best.

This gives me hope. I have similar stats to you. When did you apply? When did you get a JS1lawschool2016nyc wrote:I am slightly below the 25th in terms of GPA, but only by a very negligible amount and got a JS1 if that helps at all. LSAT at median.CenterFringe wrote:I'm in nearly the same boat. I don't think I've seen a single person interviewed with a GPA below the 25th percentile this cycle. I figure, at some point they've got to start admitting some right?addie1412 wrote:Complete 11/18, no JS1 so far
LSAT = 75
GPA < 25
I expect to be waiting quite a while if I get one at all.
Speaking of, how do waitlists work for Harvard? If you get waitlisted, do you still have to go through the JS1/JS2 process before possible acceptance?

You can get interviewed by any of the admissions officers, and according to what they said in the past it's completely random who you get. Looks like there is a recent grad that just became an admissions officer this year according to the bios.

Yup yup. Def saw someone with the exact same numbers go js1. They applied a little bit earlier though so fingers crossedVA2lawschool wrote:+1. And I think others with similar stats to me have already received JS1s.zeglo wrote:I've heard nothing since going complete 9/30.

This has probably been asked a million times before, but the status checker does not update once you get a JS1 right? I"m paranoid about it going to my spam and getting deleted.

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I went complete in late September and plenty of people with lower stats who applied later than me got JS1s before I did. I got mine this week. We need to collectively chill out -- I'm starting to believe the timing on a lot of this stuff really is random. Run your own race.VA2lawschool wrote:+1. Your status won't change, but if it is the same as last year there will be a new entry under the mailings section that says something like "email - interview requested"ohgosh wrote:This has probably been asked a million times before, but the status checker does not update once you get a JS1 right?
