Thx!!!!! That makes me feel much better.k10f wrote:degageme wrote:I heard tons of complaint about NW online interview saying it's too stressful and awkward. Almost every one thought they didn't act as well as they could. But it seems that the online interview of Cornell isn't so scary since no such complaint....Is that true? Probably doing tomorrow and getting really nervous right now > <
The Northwestern Interview asks a lot of questions that are quite detailed and tough to answer in one minute. I found myself really rushing at the end of the questions to trying and finish my answers. The Cornell questions are simpler and although there are also some situational questions, they aren't as detailed or odd as the ones I got in my Northwestern interview. Additionally the questions in the Cornell practices are similar to the kinds of questions in the real interview whereas the Northwestern practice questions are extremely basic. Answering to the video is definitely a little bit weird in either case, but I, like the majority of users, found the Cornell interview less intensive. So don't be too nervous and you'll be fine!

Going by the admissions stats on their 509 reports and data from MyLSN, it really doesn't look like they YP much. Not to say it's not possible, but there could be other reasons (including the possibility that you will be accepted).lydia1121 wrote:submitted 10/9, current status date changed twice, latest one is 12/24. I doubt they've forgotten about you or lost materials so I don't see what it would accomplish. Being international could add another dimension to your app that requires closer inspection and you have a new LSAT score so there's new things in your app to consider. I don't think your wait is all that abnormallydia1121 wrote:Do you think I should email them? Thank you, I feel better now. I just sent them a LOCI yesterday, hopefully they they haven't forgotten about me.gamerish wrote:I doubt they've forgotten about you or lost materials so I don't see what it would accomplish. Just submitted my interview, mehhrrrrrr. So I kept reading how everyone felt really awkward and how they wish that they were speaking to a live person with Cornell and NW. I told myself that wasn't going to happen to me....yet here I am post interview feeling like it was really awkward and that I spoke to a real person. Also could have used more time for each questions. They could've been done in the time allotted, but I just felt like I could have given way better answers for each question if i just had 15-30 seconds more.

You alluded to this yourself, but the general consensus from my cycle (last year) was that the robot interview didn't seem to play too big of a role in the final decision. Everyone felt awkward and everyone stumbled through it. Don't fret - GPA, LSAT, and everything else is more important than a 4 minute monologue about "why cornell" and your favorite superhero.Budfox55 wrote:Just submitted my interview, mehhrrrrrr. Don't be. It honestly felt better than some real interviews I've done. The questions are pretty straightforward; just be sure to plan out your responses to fit within the minute allotted, and you'll be golden.ugg wrote:Pretty nervous about this automated interview thing.

Is the reserve a glorified waitlist? Or is it different in some manner?

It's probably like the Duke priority reserve list.

I submitted on 12/10 and have not been contacted for an interview. I know the holidays are in between but what was the usual wait for people being contacted for an interview? My numbers are just below their medians so I wouldn't think I am an automatic reject
