Has anyone here (besides me) applied in September and not heard anything since complete?

(YPable stats, really really interested in UVA, visited, and wrote what I thought was a decent "Why"; but resigning myself to WL at best)

I'm in a similar (albeit less discouraging) boat - submitted in mid-October, YPable stats, but no "Why UVA" or visit. I'd still be confident in your situation, though! Good luck

Also submitted in early September and haven't heard anything. But I had no "Why" essay and I'm a splitter.

Applied in August. International with Superior CAS Evaluation and above 75% LSAT. Have written 'why' essay.

Thanks! Yeah, I got a call. I had been invited to a dinner with a few other applicants back in November, which was a lot of fun. At the time it didn't seem like an interview, more like a Q&A about the school, but I was never formally interviewed so I guess it served that purpose.

just got an email invite for an interview and was hoping for some info. Is this the typical why UVA/why law/resume questions interview? And how good of a sign does the interview request seem to be? I know from skimming this thread that acceptances have been offered at the end of interviews in the past. Thanks for any help and info you can provide!

Oh, and complete 12/2, under median LSAT, well above GPA, for those interested.

Yep, typical, pretty laid-back. Interview is a good sign, but it seems like they're not getting back to people post-interview re decision as quickly as they were earlier in the cycle, unless you're a silver sterling candidate.

Thanks, Dipper, much appreciated on the info. Definitely not a home run candidate, so I won't be disappointed if I need to wait a while after the interview to get a decision.

don't be too discouraged by the silence-- I went complete early-November and didn't hear anything until I received an interview invite earlier this month, & was admitted at the end of my interview. interview was very casual, definitely a solid sales pitch to attend the school.

Accepted october 8th( I think, might be off by a day or two). Completed fafsa over the weekend, so I can't imagine that they have already processed it.

I'm sort of in the same situation. 50th/75th stats with strong softs, in at most of the other T14 schools, had an interview, and no decision still. My interview was in October... I think the not writing a Why UVA may have hurt me, but I expressed interest in the interview and added a Why UVA addendum later on. Maybe my file is under a desk somewhere (I have heard literally nothing since the interview, not even a waitlist).
