Just got placed on reserve. Pretty shocked and disappointed. Cornell was one of my top choices.

Your stats are slightly better than mine but pretty similar. I'm really shocked based on past admissions cycles that people with my or your numbers were wait listed.

Reserved. Cornell is one of my favorites. Glad I'm still in the running.

how is this even possible
Don't know. No c&f issues, strong recs, good PS, we, decent softs but not great. I don't get it. Definitely not a YP candidate.

Not sure if it's yp. I visited in August so I would assume they know I'm serious. Have some minor C&F issues (think traffic tickets), and one just more serious than minor. Has not been a problem for me so far, and it's only come up once this cycle (during my UCLA interview, and the dean made a lighthearted joke about it, so it can't be that serious??) Who knows, but it's dissapointing as Cornell was one of my top choices. Still hope I guess. PM if u want specifics, I'd be interested to hear another's opinion.

Tbh I think it might be the c&f issue? When I was looking through lsn I clicked on a lot of the unexpected waitlists/rejections and messaged them asking what happened and almost all of them had a c&f issue

I'm thinking its YP across the board for today's reserves, at least based off the two people that mentioned their numbers. Keep the faith, all. There is going to be a ton of movement as Cornell is a lower T14, not to mention most of you will get into better schools. Don't let it shake you.
