I was told there were two waves of offers: one that happened in Mid-January, the second that happens in mid-February. She also said that if you don't receive anything by the end of March, you could submit a letter for reconsideration.
Admitted last week and didn't hear anything regarding scholarship. Is this normal?
I thought they may send emails about it but nothing yet.

Re: George Washington C/O 2017
In case anyone was wondering:
I just talked with the dean of admissions. She said the first round went out to people with 169s and up, give or take a point or two, and that was in early January. She said the next round will be at the end of February (so next week?) but didn't tell me what scores would be considered. Then the last round will be at the end of March, and after that there won't be any money left over.
So to all of you who got money and don't have 169s...how did you get your money already? Was it definitely a merit scholarship, or was it based on something else?

how long did it take you all to receive a packet/ written letter after getting your acceptance email? It's been like 10 days since I got the email, but still no packet or scholarship info

Just an FYI, Baltimore city isn't that much cheaper (unless you're living in a sketchy area), and is definitely not much cheaper (if at all) than the Silver Spring/Bethesda/Arlington areas. The only way to make it much cheaper would be to live in a suburb near BWI (like Glen Burnie) and catch the train to the airport, but I'd definitely do Bethesda over that.inyoureyes89 wrote:do any GW law students live in baltimore and commute? it's pretty easy to get to union station from there, and bmore is a much cheaper city.
I do take the train down to DC often and the commute is fairly easy coming from Federal Hill, but you do have to catch a bus to get to Penn Station. Mount Vernon is really the only neighborhood you'd want to live in if you're looking to be able to walk to Penn station. Any other neighborhood in the city you'll probably have to drive to BWI.
-0L living in Baltimore who will be commuting the first 2.5 months if I enroll at GW or GULC.

Waitlisted with a 3.2 168. They have accepted every other applicant with a 168 should I be concerned with the rest of my cycle??

Just to add my .02:
Although I got accepted via email over a week ago, I have two scheduled mailings coming acc. to the status checker: one sent 2/14 (no idea why it isn't here yet, but I'm guessing it's the giant acceptance package), and the other sent 2/19. I'm guessing the second mailing will be re: $, so maybe the 2nd wave of scholarships is starting? I went from complete to accepted in four days, so that's the only reason I'm optimistic about $.

Check your email. The 2/14 one is probably a welcome from the gw law student ambassador, and the 2/19 a welcome from the gw law alumni association. If you don't have those emails, then perhaps your instincts are correct.mes10d wrote:Just to add my .02:

This has most likely already been discussed in this thread, but I couldn't find it. My question has to do with the GW Law Financial Aid Request Form. Do we need to fill out that form to be considered for merit based grants or is that form only for need based grants?

Well, close to last years median.philipthegreat wrote:

Given the changes that are occurring in law school admissions, it is likely that many schools will be seeing their medians drop.
