Forever lurker, figured I would actually make my presence known and join in the collective grumbling about the delay with releasing these decisions. C'mon, Columbia, NYU turned my RD application around in 8 days; you guys can't do an ED app in 40?

ED, hopefully I'll get in. Decent numbers (high GPA, low LSAT, but not THAT low) but crazy softs that they are unlikely to see in any other applicant and which are well-suited to their curriculum. Getting into NYU - and so quickly - has taken me a bit of the edge off though.ohpobrecito wrote:Welcome! Good luck, glad to add another one to the waiting roundtable. I'm feeling this week we're finding out but I'm eternally afflicted by optimism bias i suppose.palatrax wrote:ED, hopefully I'll get in. I am inclined to agree, only if nothing else because it would mean that otherwise they would have let December go by without rendering any decisions. I got good news from NYU yesterday and Duke the day before, so I'm hoping I can keep this streak going.Robert_Bert wrote: Good luck, glad to add another one to the waiting roundtable. Also admitted to NYU. To what extent do you suppose that should translate to CLS optimism? I could dig into the numbers, but I've already spent hours at work hitting refresh on this forum and Gmail today. Anyone have an established opinion on this?

yeah I'm admitted to NYU too-- don't think CLS cares. last year, they waited until January to let some ED admits and deferalls know. if we don't hear friday that's where we are headed this year too.corporatebarbarian wrote:Haha it sure seems that way. Not positive, but surely the office will be near empty Tuesday-Thursday. Outside shot they can get something in on Monday or Friday of that week, but I'm doubtful. Monday the 30th could be the day too. All pointles guesswork at this time unfortunatley.

Yeah, the majority of RD decisions won't start being made until January based on last year's cycle.goldgirl786 wrote:Lol sorry pal, they haven't even gotten to all of us ED so I think RD won't be until January at the very least.
