As much as I would like it to be earlier, I think I remember there being interview slots next week. If that's the case, I wouldn't realistically expect anything until at least the week of the 13th.

There's a pretty large chunk of open slots the week of the 13th. If they intend to fill those slots, it would make sense to hold off on JS2s until they finish up with this first round of JS1s so they can consider every JS1 for admissions. That puts the first wave of JS2s the week of the 20th at the earliest

Wasn't there some person a couple of pages ago that scrolled the calendar up to summer months and there still were interview slots available? Then I doubt the availability of interview slots tells anything about the timing of JS2s.

I just checked the calendar and there aren't any interview slots available after the week of the 13th.

Besides, having open slots doesn't necessarily mean they are set to fill every slot, does it? They could be leaving the window open for people and then close it once all the people chose time slots.

Technically, no, they don't need to fill all those slots. They wouldn't "close" the whole calendar though because people may still want to reschedule times.

But I'm still counting 50 slots remaining that week, so while they don't need to fill all of them, I wouldn't be surprised if there's one more small JS1 wave on the way to fill quite a few of them. I think one time at the beginning of the cycle I counted 27 slots remaining for a week, predicted another JS1 wave and it came the next day.

I imagine, and this is completely baseless speculation, that HLS was prepared for a worst case scenario when it came to deposit deadlines. They wanted to be prepared in case a way higher number than they anticipated turned down their offer and chose SLS, CLS, YLS, etc. They have so many interview slots open in case they needed them to dip further into the waitlist than they were planing.

We can almost guarantee that this didn't happen, but they'd always rather be prepared.

Or, they could be offering more JS1s. That too.

Had my KB1 today. From what I can tell it went pretty well. I didn't get specific questions about my resume or PS. Just stuff like, what are you looking forward to most, Dream job, etc.. I hope that's a good sign!

Edit: Also, the facebook group is down to below 500. I hope that is a good sign as well!

True, it's lost quite a few people. There were also 18 added since Monday - no clue what that means, but even including the new recruits the total number is still under 500

I think it's just people who just recently decided to commit or who just realized there was a facebook group.

For example, one of the people I met at Cornell's March ASW didn't join the Cornell FB group until a few days ago.
