These WLs (Not for me because my LSAT sucks, but for others) seem like Emory's way of getting out of their March 29th guarantee. It seems they still don't have the applicant pool they want, and as such can't send out lots of hard accepts or denies so they are wait-listing a lot of people and will presumably have a very hectic April and May.

Yeah but then they basically congratulate you for being on the waitlist. A little strange.

Yeah I was thinking this same thing. Maybe that's why the email was kind of really nice, a little optimistic. Who knows! I think I'll ride this one out.

Completely. It's a totally bush league move. More than half of Emory's 2016 class may come from the WL. That's shocking administrative incompetence for such an otherwise well regarded school.

Despite being a little bummed to be waitlisted by my number one school, I am perfectly okay with riding this one out.

What do you think this means for someone who heard nothing today??? Should I be optimistic, pessimistic?

I'm a 3.7 162 international student and applied in October

To alleviate some of the uncertainty of the waitlist process, if you are offered a spot at Emory Law and matriculate with us, we will credit your student account for the amount of your non-refundable first deposit to one other school (up to $250).

Do other schools do this?!

This was the first time I heard of this happening. Pretty nice of them imo.

I am pretty confused about this WL... I keep checking my spam folder lol and I'm feeling pretty psycho! I really feel like I should have been waitlisted this evening. Maybe they just forgot about me

Just got my acceptance letter via email sent right before 8pm with a 69k scholarship! They're working super late.

I have a feeling most if not all acceptances and waitlists will be sent tonight. Those of you who haven't received any correspondence are probably looking at a generic rejection email tomorrow.....

WL here. I am 90% sure I will get in although my numbers aren't great. Law schools are desperate and it's showing! Not even sure I'd want to leave the west coast to attend even though Atlanta's great and it's a good school, right?
