Are there any more ASWs?? I was just admitted but I have been in love with this school since I was admitted for undergrad and my parents wouldn't let me attend due to $$. Anyways, if the ASWs are over, when would be the best time to visit from you guys' perspectives?

Their ASW has not happened. Their "Preview Day" is March 22 and they also have a preview evening on April 4. They also have individual admitted student gatherings, which I was sent on a card in the mail. You can register at it says the Admitted Student Portal.
I am familiar with the area, so feel free to PM me if you have any questions about visiting the area.
I got in here for law school also, but am not planning on attending.

I was admitted today. Yay! The initial admittance e-mail does not contain the link or login information for the Admitted Students Website. Does anyone know how long before this is sent and if it is by e-mail or mail?

It took me a while for them to get back to me on that info after I got admitted in December. Just give the admissions office a call, let them know you want to attend the admitted students stuff, and they'll probably hook you up.

got the package today, very nice one!
GW emailed me back about the $ increase and said that they would consider all the scholarship increase requests after 4/01, which is the first seat deposit deadline to see how many of us are still interested. in other words, we have to pay $ 500 before we have the chance to get the increase

First seat deposit is 4/15. I got the same canned "we'll reconsider after April 1" response and thought it was strange that they'd reconsider before deposits are due.gonnaknow wrote:got the package today, very nice one!

So I was just RSVP'ing to ASD, and was a bit surprised to see the note at the bottom that said guests could not be accommodated. I was really hoping to bring my girlfriend, who's planning on moving a long distance with me, to the event, and I don't recall seeing any other schools with such limitations. Is this worth a phone call? Would it be weird, and would I be the only one there with a significant other?

I've been sitting at complete for two months now. Should I email or be concerned? Other people with my numbers have seen good movement and I'm getting concerned!

Yeah, I'm in the same situation...I was thinking of bringing my boyfriend. Other schools have been ok with it.kckool7 wrote:So I was just RSVP'ing to ASD, and was a bit surprised to see the note at the bottom that said guests could not be accommodated. Anyone submitted their in-house financial aid form yet? Is there a deadline to submit it by? Do we need to put anything in the "student ID number" field?

So if I was admitted about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything about merit scholarships, is it safe to assume I won't be getting any? They sent me an email about financial aid, but nothing regarding merit based...

I would not asume that. If you haven't recieved anything email them and ask, tell them about your situation and why GW. then you will know, one why or the other.islandrose0913 wrote:So if I was admitted about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything about merit scholarships, is it safe to assume I won't be getting any? read the merit award letter again, for us who want to accept the merit award, April 1 is the first deposit deadline. " To accept your scholarship, we must receive your first seat deposit, in the amount of $500.00 by Monday, April 1.deuceindc wrote:First seat deposit is 4/15. Just checked, this is right. So basically, we're not able to negotiate our scholarships without risking losing it, or giving up all leverage by submitting the seat deposit?gonnaknow wrote:read the merit award letter again, for us who want to accept the merit award, April 1 is the first deposit deadline. Re: George Washington c/o 2016
don't really understand the deposit process, though. if we submit the first $500 and the increase isn't ideal(or no increase at all before other schools' deadlines), can we withdraw from GW? well, I know that would cost $500.kckool7 wrote:Just checked, this is right.
