Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I've noticed that this year the vast majority of JS1s (if not all?) have been auto-admits/URMs. This hasn't been the case in years past, so I'm guessing they are just prioritizing the flow of interviews differently this year. There are a bunch of us with #s close to yours that haven't received JS1s yet (and even a handful of folks with higher #s), but it's too early to be worried. There were plenty of admits with #s in our range last year, and this year should continue that trend.bruwinning24 wrote:3.98, 171, top 25 undergrad, submitted day 1. Still haven't heard of anything. Getting worried. Any thoughts?
So here's to hoping for some JS1 love coming our way in the next couple of weeks!

FML it is 2:30 Central Time and no JS2 yet. I have a feeling I'm not going to get one and at best am going to be waitlisted. Damn it.
Congrats to all that got their acceptances so far though!

I'm also in Central Time and waiting for a call. I was in the first batch of JS1's, so if I don't hear anything back today I'll be pretty nervous.Cantthinkof1 wrote:FML it is 2:30 Central Time and no JS2 yet. I have a feeling I'm not going to get one and at best am going to be waitlisted. Damn it.

Haha sorry, didn't mean to be a douche. With everyone telling me I'm a lock, it would suck pretty badly not to get in. Best of luck to you.helix23 wrote:180/4.0ColeWorld wrote:I'm also in Central Time and waiting for a call. If you don't hear back today does that mean you are not getting in unless its Jan. or off the WL?

We still have until Friday...doesn't look like too many calls went out today - and it was only in the afternoon.

I'm on the east coast, had my JS1 last week and I have decent #'s (174/3.9) but no call today. Hopefully we'll all hear back tomorrow.

If I count the total acceptances listed on LSN for last year it is around 100. 850 were made offers. So does the number of people on this site or LSN (assuming they are the same) only represent about 15% of the total? Or did they make 100 offers today and only 5 showed up here?

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
161 reported on LSN last year, so about 15-20% seems right. Perhaps that increases, though, as knowledge of TLS increases, and some TLS users don't have LSN accounts, so it might be a bit less when comparing the the forums to the actual (30% or so, maybe?)michlaw wrote:If I count the total acceptances listed on LSN for last year it is around 100. 850 were made offers. The sample size is way to small to constitute that reality as anything but mere conjecture.michlaw wrote:If I count the total acceptances listed on LSN for last year it is around 100. 850 were made offers. Also, it seems some accepted today include those with very strong numbers and those with numbers that aren't quite as strong as many others ITT still waiting for a call. People I'd assume were auto-admits based on numbers alone.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I guess what I'm trying to figure out. Someone said last year 16 of 18 Nov JS1's got in in Nov. Do todays results seem similar? Seems a lot less if they are done calling or maybe people haven't posted the JS2 yet.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
