In order to remain calm, can somebody please tell me these are still mostly auto-admits??
If I look at LSN, it's all green, and they have either high gpa, high lsat, both, or URM.

If it helps, my gpa was near the 75th percentile, LSAT above 75th percentile, and URM, so you absolutely should not count yourself out.iMisto wrote:In order to remain calm, can somebody please tell me these are still mostly auto-admits??

Also, one of my recommenders is a Cornell Law alum.

Cornell 2L here. The LSN stats don't mean all that much, since it's a self-selective site and most Cornell applicants don't end up posting their results. I know plenty of people in my class who applied in November and were accepted later in the cycle (think end of March), even though their numbers were at or above the 50th percentile. I also have a friend who was admitted in August literally two weeks before school started, so don't get discouraged if you haven't heard back.iMisto wrote:In order to remain calm, can somebody please tell me these are still mostly auto-admits??

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Just based on reading the past few pages, it looks like the first update seems to be them accessing your file to review it, and the second update seems to be them entering your decision. Can anyone contradict this with their own experience?
Submitted November 1st, went complete November 5th, just had my first date update today.
I should make a program like the status checker that, with the user's permission, anonymously uploads information like date changes so we can know what the hell all this stuff means...
ETA: Just contacted the guy/gal who makes the status checker at lsstatuscheck.com to mention the possibility of anonymously uploading information.

Yes please, or I wish there was like 1 big status checker page where I could see the statuses of all my applicationsLSATSCORES2012 wrote:Just based on reading the past few pages, it looks like the first update seems to be them accessing your file to review it, and the second update seems to be them entering your decision. Unless a few of the folks in here have been waist listed, but haven't received notification yet, then I would say that the 2 update rule is not always correct.LSATSCORES2012 wrote:Just based on reading the past few pages, it looks like the first update seems to be them accessing your file to review it, and the second update seems to be them entering your decision. Have you tried the Status Check program that runs in the background on your computer and updates?TheThriller wrote:Yes please, or I wish there was like 1 big status checker page where I could see the statuses of all my applicationsLSATSCORES2012 wrote:Just based on reading the past few pages, it looks like the first update seems to be them accessing your file to review it, and the second update seems to be them entering your decision. It's a bit buggy and not working for me as of this morning (because of an update or something?)
I sent the guy a message suggesting, with the user's permission, anonymously uploading information.

Complete my app today but I'm debating whether it's even worth the $100 to apply. I think I'm above LSAT median (169), but well below GPA (3.1
). I don't think they love splitters, but it'd be a dream come to true to attend Cornell and the cycle could get weird, so I might just suck it up. Congrats to those accepted though!!

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Just for those who applied EA and still are not complete on their status checker.
I called the admissions office today and they told me that as long as application was in by the deadline then you are fine. They are running behind updating status checkers but hope to have everything updated by next week.
You can call to make sure your application was received on time for EA though. They will look it up to make sure
Good luck everyone!
