I thought I had a weak interview and still got in. Dont give up

i got that question as well i forgot about it imm after the interview. its a weird q. i didnt give the greatest answer either. i doubt that question will make u or break u. and after a few q i thought for a few seconds. answering questions quickly is not always great ppl like to see that you are thought out. i always doubt those people that think they know everything immediately

my interview didn't go as well as I hoped either--I spent way too much time answer the why law and why chicago questions and only had time for two more questions that were briefly answered. (the time allocation was like 7-8 minutes each for why law and why chicago, 2-3 minutes each for the remaining two questions.) but I still got in

I guess the interview was more likely to be a process for the admissions to confirm their decisions

Submitted in early November, UR 1/9. Any idea on how long interview invites take/enough time has passed that I should feel confident that I won't be offered one?

At this time, I want to give you an update on what to expect. We will mail your Admitted Student Handbook (titled Uniquely U of C) and your official admission letter to your current address in mid-January. The Admitted Student Handbook will be a comprehensive introduction to our community. It will assist you with planning your visit to the Law School, as well as learning more about our curriculum, faculty, student life, and more. In addition, our Admitted Student Website will be available around January 15, 2013. We will send you an email with log-in instructions around that time.

In order to reserve your seat in the Class of 2016, you must submit a $500 seat deposit and complete the Early Decision Response Form electronically on the Admitted Student Website. You must postmark your deposit and submit your response form on or before January 31, 2013 (we will provide further instructions on the Admitted Student Website). In addition, please begin withdrawing your applications at other law schools as required by the Early Decision Agreement.

Finally, I hope that you will begin making your plans to attend Admitted Students Weekend (ASW) on April 11-13, 2013. ASW will be the best time to visit the Law School and you will be fully immersed in the Chicago Law experience. You will be able to learn more about ASW and register on the Admitted Student Website.

Hopefully that means tomorrow.... also, has anyone sent their $500 deposit yet, or are you all waiting for the packet to arrive?

I am still waiting to go UR at Chicago. It's definitely a reach for me, and I am wondering if I should a "Why Chicago" version of my LGBT diversity statement. The application instructions said diversity should be discussed in the PS, so I didn't initially submit it as an addendum (though it's already written). I'm worried it might be too much or seem like I didn't follow the instructions despite the fact that it is very distinct from my PS. Thoughts?

Just had my interview with Dean Perry:
Was very interested in Chicago and after my interview, I'm even more interested.
I was really worried about my interview, but Dean Perry is very easy to talk to and made the interview a pleasurable experience. There were no surprise questions and it seemed pretty standard. I learned a lot from the questions I asked so I would encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions.
