Withdrawn. I've given up hope for a GW scholarship, and my merit aid offer from GULC expires soon. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear about admittance or scholarships!

Is there anyone who didn't receive the final scholarship amount yet like me?

Me neither.

I actually got an email form them about two weeks ago asking me to let them know if I was interested in receiving aid. I told them I had sent them an email with all of my other school scholly's, etc. four weeks previous to that.

They were like, "oops."

And now i keep waiting.

Has anyone been speculating about GWs % of employment right after graduation? 56.1%? GW is one of the 4 schools I'm considering attending but.. this bothers me. Hmm..

Then, what are you guys going to do?? Just Keep waiting??

Plus, do you know what number is the most generous package for this year?

My range is 5k~25k. Is there anyone who got above 25K???

I don't know what else I can really do at this point. Unless they are planning an unprecedented full ride for me, I probably won't be attending anyway... not after all this+COL+ I am prone to claustrophobia when put with 1500 other people into a building designed for 800 MAX.

I was admitted off of the WL last year. What wisdom would you like?

Did you do anything special to get off or do you think you had nothing to do with it? (Besides your initial file.)

Yeah, i'm curious how you "get off" the waitlist, and how many people generally get admitted from the waitlist. I thought it was really strange that I got waitlisted via Early Decision. People don't usually get waitlisted in mid-January...

I'm a little surprised that nobody posted on this (maybe it's just me?), but I received an email this morning from the Scholarship Coordinator about how merit scholarships were likely going to be (re)awarded over the next two weeks. So, if you're like me and haven't heard anything about $$ yet, there may be some hope before the deposit deadline...

I also applied ED and was wait-listed early in January. (167/3.2) GW is still my top choice but I've been offered $$ at UMinn and really can't afford to forfeit the deposit if admitted after their deadline. So...

1- Has anyone else on the waitlist heard anything about when they may be pulling people off?

2- Anyone have any information on the size of the waitlist or chances of getting off?

3- Are those admitted off the waitlist still considered for scholarships?

Thanks!

In the exact same boat. Got good money at UMN and in state. If I do get off the waitlist, I don't know if I can use that as leverage to get money...

Another question, when sending a LOCI via email, should I send it to the waitlist@gwu.edu email or the normal admissions office email? Suggestions?

In today via email. Applied 2/27, went complete 3/8. No change on the status checker.

Notwithstanding Mr. or Mrs. Full-ride up there ^^, the initial "if you want to be considered for a scholarship reply blah blah" email I got many moons ago said they were only offering up to 25k. More specifically, it said "from 5k to 25k"

They apparently sent out a lot of scholarship offers today. Mine is not much, but it'll definitely help.

I just withdrew, I was offered 20k a year so maybe GW will be more responsive to your negotiations. Best of luck!

Did anyone else have a grant in their financial aid package? I did not receive any scholarship offers, but I did receive a law school tuition grant, and I found it curious.

I'm pretty sure that's need-based aid. Did you submit your FAFSA?
