Why do they take so long to reject people who are obviously way below their GPA floor?

Does anyone know if being accepted to a higher ranked school could increase your scholarship offer at Texas?

Did Dean Ingram mention it when she called? When I got the phone call she mentioned a scholarship offer then I got it a week after my initial acceptance letter

Cool, thanks. If anyone's obsessively keeping track of these things in a big spreadsheet, I got in last week, and I'm 3.6/173, in state, UT undergrad. In fact, I was actually at an academic summer camp type thing at UT during high school when they were (I guess?) installing the current UTEID system, and all the kids there got [email protected] e-mails rather than the xyz789 ones that the students got later in the fall. I used it through undergrad, so presumably that'd be the one I got if I went to law school there. I'm probably giving this factor a lot more weight than I have any right to in the overall decision making process.

Its separate and for what its worth, she did not mention my scholly in the call and I still got an offer the next week.

Has anyone received a scholarship after the call from Sam Reilly? I'm wondering if there's any correlation between who calls you and if you get money.

In as of 3:37 p.m. MST here in West Texas. Quick turnaround too. About three days since I received the email with my UT EID (though I already had it).

3.6/165/URM. Went to UT for undergrad.

However, I might withdraw soon since I managed to get in to my top choice.

Good luck to those still waiting.
