Congrats everyone!
ConfidenceMan2 wrote:In!!!!! Didn't expect to hear back anytime soon! From STL originally so WUSTL is still uber prestigious in my mind. Really exciting news and my first news of the cycle. Helps soften the blow of rejection from applying for UG.
Also, @ tmon: I received the same message in my email. I'm thinking it's probably standard but I'm hoping it means we're on the fast track to full ride offer, amirite?
I hope you're right, but I just did some research on the site and it says:
Scholar in Law Awards are merit based and awarded to candidates who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and LSAT performance. Every applicant is automatically reviewed for scholarship consideration whether or not he or she applies for financial aid.

Is anyone applying to the Webster Society Scholarship? How long is your brief statement? I finished mine and sent it in, but now I'm wondering if it was too long?

I am, mine is about a page and a half long?
Did you just send it in to the admissions email?

Hey I'm SURE this has been answered before but I'm too lazy to look back that far, apologies in advance,
But so far all I've gotten is an admissions later, when will they contact me later with other info? Because I'm assuming I need some sort of username and password to log in for certain events like ASD and information regarding financial aid and what not.

I hadn't considered applying- but now I'm wondering if I should give it a shot. Any chance for someone who volunteers with and fosters dogs? Or is this scholarship focused on people who serve other people?
Just how stellar do you need to be?

Here are descriptions of current scholars. The achievements seem pretty significant.

Thanks. I figured I didn't cut it, but the full scholarship is so tempting. Good luck to you!

I mean, if you did pretty extensive work with animals, I could see that being competitive...no idea on that though since none of the current student really mention that. Don't take my reply as discouraging you if you think you have a chance, it can't hurt.

Maybe not WLed, but just waiting to see who withdraws apps. 168 is usually autoadmit. 167s usually get in later in the cycle.

Yes I'm sure they test on kittens...I guess they didn't think a picture of a lab rat would rouse much support.
A kitten with BLUE eyes no less.

On a scale of Mother Teresa to Hitler, how awful a person am I if my first reaction was to laugh at the ad? That might be the saddest kitten I've ever seen.

I'd put you at about Bill Clinton on that scale. Sure, it may not have been the best choice, but we all would have done it.
