Just got admitted! Fantastic to know I have a great school this early in the process (I sent in my materials 11/8)
If you are curious, 3.75 GPA, 170 LSAT, did not write a "why Duke"

Yes, PT which is an awesome program considering it's non-binding

Haha. I don't know... That would be a novel thought though. "Can't get enough of that one, gotta read it again!"

Has anyone received a decision from Duke that wasn't PT?

At least three people who post here have been accepted RD. There don't seem to be that many non-reach RD applicants, so it should be no surprise the numbers are low - they'll probably want to wait on some of the reach applicants.Champion wrote:Has anyone received a decision from Duke that wasn't PT?
I applied 10/05 RD and haven't heard anything, but other people who applied later have, so I'm beginning to suspect they're just waiting to WL me.

Have you not gone under review yet? I'm a super reach, but I applied late October and went under review 11/7AntipodeanPhil wrote:At least three people who post here have been accepted RD. Yeah, I went under review 10/31 - so I guess I have heard something. Just not what I want to hear.MiamiOxford wrote:Have you not gone under review yet? Just got my Duke packet yesterday. Nice hand written note from the admissions dean and some mentions of my specific interests in the letter. Certainly makes me feel good for thanksgiving.

Since this is the day of good deals: is anyone willing to swap a Duke acceptance for one of MVP? I would do that deal in an instant - Duke is easily in my top 3. PM me to make the arrangements.

I didn't check status checker very often, but I'm 90% sure I went to "Under Review" 1-2 weeks ago.TMC116 wrote:Did your status. He met ever move to under review or did it stay locked at complete?ahnhub wrote:Thanksgiving admit email. RD. Went complete 10/17.

Just got my decision email: priority reserve.
I was a bit surprised, since my numbers are comfortably over the school's medians - 173/3.76/2 years WE (Teach for America).

Re: Duke c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
FWIW, I was accepted about 10 days ago, got my acceptance package today with a short, handwritten note from the Dean (I think, couldn't really make out the name). But I thought it was a nice touch.
I submitted early Nov. and was on priority track.
Numbers: >171/>3.8
Good luck to everyone else. It is still SUPER early for any acceptances if you submitted in November, but I'm glad I got such an awesome school so soon!

Wow. Can you think of any reason? Do you have some kind of criminal history? That's kind of frightening - I didn't think Duke YPs.danielhay11 wrote:Just got my decision email: priority reserve.

With those numbers, you should get at least a few t14 acceptances.

Wow, that is definitely a YP, unless Duke found some reason in your application.AntipodeanPhil wrote:Wow. Can you think of any reason? Do you have some kind of criminal history? That's kind of frightening - I didn't think Duke YPs.danielhay11 wrote:Just got my decision email: priority reserve.
