Thanks! I was surprised to hear this soon since my undergrad institution didn't send in my Dean's Certification until late December. I'm 1XX, X.XX from a top-tier Ivy, and no WE (still in undergrad).

(I'm editing my stats out soon cause I'm neurotic about ratting myself out, so please don't quote - thanks!)

or where i can get this info

You can see most of this info under the ABA data on LSAC.

Applications: 4250
Offers:380
Attending:180

9% acceptance rate and 47% yield.

LSAT 168, GPA 4.08/4.30 (LSAC converted it to 3.88), international applicant from Canada.

That low yield really surprises me...I would have thought since they put so much weight on softs (and presumably Stanford love) they would at least be higher than Harvard.

Well it might also help explain why they are partial to applicants who have tailored LOR and PS.

So the consensus is that those of us who went complete in November and haven't heard back yet will likely have to wait until April for decisions, but we shouldn't yet lose hope for admission?

I'm not sure that this is necessarily true. AFAIK, sh@kenb@ke went complete in late-Oct/early-Nov and was just accepted yesterday. I think Stanford just has a strange admissions cadence, so there's no real way to know. You could hear anytime between today and April.

I am in the same boat (with much lower odds of getting accepted), FWIW.

so just looked at my status checker.. it now says at the top in red letters "A decision letter has been sent." I went complete 9/19 and haven't heard anything since. seems like everyone who has gotten an acceptance gets a call from the dean, does this decision letter sound like bad news?

Ahhhhh me too (just checked). I'm not expecting good news, so I guess I'll take any news, at this point.

Unfortunately, the trend in past years (as far as my snooping through old threads has dug up) means that a phonecall/email comes for acceptances and a DLS means reject or waitlist.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but judging by last year's thread, the 'decision letter has been sent' update without a phone call is indicative of a ding (waitlists come much later in the cycle). Sorry all.

Mine too... Is the "file has been submitted" part new? I can't remember if it was there before.
