Are there any good watering holes around fordham?

5 minutes south and west of campus along 9th avenue between 42nd street and 55th street there are tons of bars and restaurants. Avoid times square at all costs, it's also nearby.

There are also some cool places in the 70s along Amsterdam. Jake's Dilemma, anyone?

I <3 Jake's Dilemma and I know that's where a lot of Fordham Law students go (used to live in the area). There's nothing like a nice game of mid-afternoon beer pong at Jake's to set the mood for the rest of the evening.

There's also a bunch of great places right along the avenue: Gin Mill, The Dead Poet, Dive 75 (Beer and Boggle, woohoo!), Bourbon Street, McAleer's, George Keeley's, Riposo 72 (wine bar), Blondies (wings/sunday football)...

I used to play some serious foosball there. Spent some time at the Gin Mill ( a couple blocks up) as well.

Just withdrew. According to LSN I had a good chance of eventually getting in, but I wouldn't attend Fordham over WUSTL anyways. Everything I've heard about the school is great though, and best of luck to everybody at Fordham or wherever you end up.

It seems like they are calling with acceptances this week. I haven't heard of anyone receiving call with bad news. Good luck!!
