I hope not. I told some guy I met on the train from the airport to DC that he should take it in June instead of waiting until September and dying like I did.even2flow wrote:Edit - Hah! thank you![]()

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
I'm thinking about trying to sign up for June. It might help me with my WL situation, and if I haven't heard from Fordham at that point, it should help with that. And if I did hear bad news from Fordham, I'm gonna hafta re-take it anyway, so...sibley wrote:I hope not. I guess my question is - think Fordham admissions would find it strange if I asked for them to sign me a waiver letting me take it again? (I'm a 3x taker)

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
FWIW, I took mine at UConn last September. They have a hotel right on campus that is a 30 second walk to the building where I took the test. I went up Friday night, had a light dinner in the hotel restaurant, and went to bed early. It made for an easy and stress free morning.nygrrrl wrote:Everywhere in NYC is gone; there are spots in CT I believe.even2flow wrote:Edit - Hah! thank you![]()

I'm trying to think if I can get out of this conference. Or at least miss a day. It goes the whole week
My company paid $2000 to send me here for the week. Uuuuuugh.

+1. You beat me to the punch! I love that line of thought and think I will use it to it's full extent as my rebuttal lolnygrrrl wrote:I really like the way you think, E2Feven2flow wrote:Trust me when I say moving in with someone who isn't studying law will be to your mental benefit later. Last thing you're gonna want when you get home at midnight after studying Torts all day is to talk Crim Law with your roomate. You're gonna wanna talk about hot bartenders and why the Sox have been sucking. Or even someone who can sit there and play PS3 with you for like an hour before you go to bed and get back into teh swing of law at 6 AM the next morning.Cardboardbox wrote:
Speaking of which, everyone (and by everyone I mean my GF and my family lol) thinks it's a bad idea to be moving in with my friend who's not going to LS because he won't understand the pressure and it won't create an environment conducive to doing well in LS. I can see where they are coming from but I feel like he'd understand and give me space. Is that me being optimistic?

Edit - but yeah I lived with a kid during his 1L then 2L at BC and he was super thankful he didn't live with law kids for the reasons I listed above. Then when they'd hang out at the apartment, we'd all be sitting on the couch in front of the TV and I got to listen to "You know, I was reading this case the other day, and what they had decided was..." and so on. On a Saturday night. This was before the social lubricant of alcohol had been thoroughly consumed, but you get teh point.

I'm sorry to hear that.
When I called yesterday, the woman on the phone told me that they only update the status checkers once a week. I guess that means if we haven't gotten an update today, then we likely will not until next week?

Admitted today off the W/L for the part-time program. 3.76/164. Best thing I can tell everyone is make sure you e-mail/call DB and others on the admissions committee. Send multiple, personalized LOCIs.
Fordham was the only school I applied to and I will definitely be enrolling there for the fall. Looking forward to meeting all my new classmates!
Good luck to everyone waiting it out!
