looks like last year someone (EA) received scholarship info on Fri Feb 27.

http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=425

but a few posts before, someone said they spoke with smu. they said that they were behind on financial aid and it would take an extra 3-4 weeks than originally planned.

http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=400

this was 2009, so take it for what it's worth.

I was hopeful, and I guess it's still possible...but I haven't heard of anyone going Decision Rendered today....

If not tomorrow, maybe next week?

Does anybody know if SMU will pay for or reimburse you for travel expenses if going to visit the school? If so, how do you go about doing it?

nope. Although uh raising tuition by almost 6 grand was probably a huge relief for the smu adcomm.

Anybody know what the timeline on the sumner is?

I emailed them about this a couple of weeks ago and they (a woman named Maggie) said that no stipends/travel reimbursements are available. Pretty bummed about the answer as a lot of schools similarly ranked do and it would make a visit much more manageable...

That sucks. I've never been to big D, so I need to visit before I commit, but I really don't have $500+ just for a short visit.

i don't think it would hurt to call/email and ask. unless you've called them 239084 times already, it shouldn't affect you negatively. who knows? maybe they give something to certain applicants but don't publicize it??

I got a scholarship notice today in Fort Worth. $22,000 renewable on good standing and full-time enrollment. This is better than I was anticipating. There was also a notice about ASD: one on March 19th, one on April 23rd.

Thank you. I'm very excited about this one. My wife and I like DFW and would love to stick around.
