Looks like this is very likely the last week of hope for those of us who applied in Sep/Oct and havent gotten a JR1 invite as yet.

From last year's cycle on LSN, everyone who applied in Sep/Oct either got -
a) Acceptance calls (TS2) on 11/25 and 11/26, or;
b) WL/Rejections in March & April

For those who got acceptances on these dates, TS1 calls were held till mid-November. There were only 2-3 applicants (albeit on LSN which is a small sample) who applied in Sep/Oct and had their TS1 calls after 11/20, getting acceptances on 12/08.

So let's hope we're in that small subset for this year. Best of luck to all!

JR2 and calling people about their acceptances are the same thing.
Really? I had no idea. I thought JR2 was just a second interview, then after that they make a decision and call you... So is there a JR2 email or do you just randomly get the call one day?
the call comes first...w/o warning. yay!
man. i'm really unsure which i'd prefer: a) answering the phone and having a live conversation with JR during which he tells me i've been accepted or b) having it go through to answering machine, and having a recorded message i could keep, replay over and over, and edit into a dance remix

I have thought about this same question... I guess if I am lucky enough to receive the call I will probably answer it. The dance remix suggestion would be very tempting, though.

it's a new year and a new dean. last year might be a reasonably good indicator but i really don't think it should be taken as a be-all and end-all. hold out some hope, it ain't over yet

edit: not to mention the LSN sample size issues that have already been brought up

Hmm so I'm trying to piece together where I stand here. I applied first week of November. Went under review a few days later I think. When do you think my time frame for a JR1 will pass? I know this might be premature, but I need to know when to give up hope...

seems like many get them around the time they get their complete emails (a few have also gotten them quite a bit later). if you haven't gotten that yet you shouldn't stress.

Just had my JR1. Fairly certain that I came off as a nervous, bumbling idiot. Needed to tell someone (or a lot of people) that would understand.

Just had JR1...very short (less than 7 minutes)...He basically asked "what are you doing, why law school, why HLS" and then asked if I had any questions. Not sure how I feel about it--I could have done a little better, or a lot worse. Now to wait...

This waiting is really killing me. Especially with Thanksgiving approaching, I can't focus on anything.

I was just joking. I'm the definition of an auto-reject at all of HYS. Just thought I would poke my head into this thread and inject some lightheartedness. Good luck all!

True, but schools would rather take a 165 3.8 than me. I'm ED at Chicago and will be lucky if I make it into the CCN tier.

Congrats on your JR1! I hope you all start getting those JR2s soon. I got a call from UVA last week and was absolutely floored with excitement.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
