Is there someone who has some time and would be available to read and destroy my PS and my Diversity Statement? I feel a bit lost with them and I really might use some help! We can even exchange them if you want to... Lemme know!

I did a quick search, but didn't see anything, has anyone received an unsolicited waiver from Penn?
Also, I saw something about Northwestern being free if you're early? In any case, I had a hidden waiver from them, so you should check!

Great to see the cycle starting off well for everyone (yes I did go through and read all of the posts).
Also checking back in to say that I got into UVA with a Dillard. So apparently dreams do come true. That was my ideal outcome, so I guess my cycle is over early. Will probably apply to HYS just for kicks and giggles, but I can't see any of those being better than UVA for free.

Offtopic, but Lowkey freaking out about Irma, newest forecast has the eye going right over me. Didn't evacuate and its way too late now with all the traffic.

We've got tons of water, food and gas so we'll be good on that front. It's the massive wind speed that's freaking me out, when a Miami landfall was looking likely it would have only been a cat 2 by the time it reached us but now it's looking like a Naples landfall, which gives it very little time to weaken.rachelac wrote:yiiikes please be safe! Dang; the shift has me partially relieved since SoFlo doesn't look like it'll get the eye now but I feel bad for central/west florida peeps. I didn't evacuate either so let's hope for the bestSlippin' Jimmy wrote:Offtopic, but Lowkey freaking out about Irma, newest forecast has the eye going right over me. Sigh... very jealous of everyone this semester. If September doesn't go well, I may postpone my cycle to next year!

Random question: I've handed in a few applications even though I have a third recommendation on the way. Will law schools start reading my application right away or will they wait for the last letter? I've assigned it on the LSAC portal but I don't know if law schools have any way of knowing that.

I've got parents who would rather I go to Brooklyn or Cardozo (I live in NYC) vs postponing another year to have a shot at NYU or Columbia... which is incredibly tempting.twiix wrote:ha. fuuuuuuck that. Think I may be going insane. Just bought PT81 and, if I get a 175+, will seriously considering taking the LSAT a 4th time in December (one of my takes was a cancel), just for a chance at HYS

Thanks! I guess I'll email them to wait.

I got a GTown Group interview request a few minutes ago. One of the schools I would love to go to, but I have't submitted an application nor do I believe their application is even open yet. Don't they usually wait for applications to do this? just a little confused. Happy haha, but confused.

I asked about my Ruby chances in the UChicago taking questions thread and I literally had two people suggest retaking the LSAT.twiix wrote:ha. fuuuuuuck that. Checking in after finding this thread while ignoring my work (goodbye productivity)
Anxiously awaiting this September LSAT -- wishing I would've taken in June but did not have the discipline to study for the LSAT while "studying" abroad
