i've been accepted at higher ranked schools, and they'd have to give me nearly a full ride, plus it's been like 3 months of radio silence. how is that bad?
Here's why:
1. You lose nothing by waiting. If it's really "not worth it to wait" then I don't get why you're agonizing over it lolol
2. People have waited longer than you. I heard back after almost 4 months.

I never expressed agony, just annoyance. I could potentially free up a spot for someone who wants to attend. Worth more than waiting to ultimately not go there.

Huh... I haven't seen anything yet, guess they aren't coming out all at the same time. When were you admitted?
11/18. Holding out for the merit awards!

I mean if you got into high ranked schools, couldn't hurt waiting to see how much $ you would get a notably generous school!

Congrats! Found your LSN, looks like you had an awesome cycle. You think Vandy's your move?

Thanks so much! I've had some lucky breaks this cycle, but Vandy is definitely a top contender. I'm attending ASW this month to see if it's a good fit.
Kind of perplexed about the $110K offer, though. Seems like most people with my stats last year got $125K. Anyone want to extrapolate what's going on?

Maybe they also started off with $110k but negotiated up to $125k!

We're numbers twins and I haven't heard a peep from Vandy at all

Congrats though

I think Hagan might be right. If you look at the 110K crew last cycle, decent amount of 170s in there

I did the same thing - better schools, and honestly probably better offers. I am admittedly a little curious as to what I would have gotten, but my chances of actually attending were slim to begin with.

How do you withdraw an app currently in review? Pretty sick of waiting for Vandy as well - just wish I could get a refund lol.

I didn't withdraw from an app UR with Vanderbilt, but I did with U of I - I just emailed them to say that I wished to withdraw my application from review. I got an email back wishing me the best of luck and that was that.

Do you think it's worth emailing with a polite "It's been 15 weeks since I applied. Is everything ok?"

Got $80k, was expecting $90-$105k based on last years data. The pool must definitely be stronger.

Based off of LSN, looks like $110K was the largest amount awarded thus far today, even for people with 170+ and 3.9+. Is this the new threshold? What's Vandy's reputation for negotiation?

So if we applied for the law scholars merit scholarship and we get that, will it replace this one?

I'm thinkingg that for people who are offered VLMSA interviews, their offers will come after that. (at least I'm telling myself that's why I haven't gotten my offer email yet)
