To OP, Skype interviews are more prone to disconnects, problems, etc. You'd also have to be more mindful and look at the camera while talking as opposed to looking at the screen (interviewer)

lol your numbers are better than mine bud so thank you for strengthening my conclusion? Either way I am not advocating either choice for OP. I offered a simple consideration based off of nearly 30 years of tangible quantifiable evidence on the impact of pleasant demeanor and a nice smile. Do you OP.BirdLawExpert wrote:To negate your isolated sample. I had mine over the phone. Unquestionably poor numbers (GPA<3.0). I mean we're on the same page, I was just offering a counter-example showing OP that they're better off doing whichever they're more comfortable with. I'm great at in-person interviews, but for whatever reason Skype interviews have always caused me to miss a beat; I'd much prefer a phone interview over Skype, but both of those are a very distant second to actually meeting someone and having a conversation.doobleykah wrote: lol your numbers are better than mine bud so thank you for strengthening my conclusion? Also, weren't you in another thread talking about veterans stuff? Maybe the UT thread? I feel like the most important question in my WashU interview was "how does your military experience make you a better future student than those with a civilian background?" I feel like your numbers might have less to do with your scholarship than your military background, especially if you've been in for a long time considering I was just a non-deployable reservist in college through ROTC and they still focused on that experience.

Hubris man. As for OP, I also did phone interview. In the past threads an applicant mentioned that their skype hung up in the middle of an interview. #bettersafethansorry

I received an interview request 3 days after I submitted my app. It appears they have a very quick turnaround for applicants with strong numbers.proteinshake wrote:got my interview request 7 days after applying. normal?

If you don't mind me asking, when did you apply? (Sorry that doesn't answer your question!)

Checking in; been sitting at complete since 12/14. Not super optimistic about my chances since WUSTL seems to be pretty hell bent on keeping that 167 LSAT median. I visited the campus a couple weeks ago and liked it a lot/was pleasantly surprised that STL wasn't nearly as shitty as I'd imagined

I actually like st louis. In the realm of cities to attend law school in, I'd put it near the top. Enough going on so you're not bored as fuck, but cheap so you're not broke. Also not crowded as fuck, but has plenty to do. Haven't been robbed/murdered yet.
You're also gonna spend 95% of your time at school or at home so I'd say rent and food costs should be your primary consideration when looking at where to attend law school to be honest.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
I applied on 1/14 and three days later received a request to interview. My GPA is average and my LSAT is 25%, so I'm wondering do they interview people that they are planning on waitlisting? I've seen so many people get in that have had interviews but no stories of dings after an interview so I'm just checking in on this! It seems so odd that I would have received a request to interview just three days later so I'm wondering what's up.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
TLS has on WUSTL's profile that all candidates are required to interview as of the 2013-2014 cycle. Idk if that's accurate, but it seems like everyone here has interviewed or is waiting to interview.sehall2 wrote:I applied on 1/14 and three days later received a request to interview. I think interview request is always good news. It's not strange to receive request just three days later. It means that they find you a strong candidate! I also got my request within days of submitting the app, had the interview, and got accepted. PM me if you want more details! Happy to share what questions were asked, etc.sehall2 wrote:I applied on 1/14 and three days later received a request to interview. Do they interview everybody? I submitted and was complete on 1/8 but haven't had any status change or any interview request. Is that normal?
