Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

I went complete end of November and am still hanging on. I submitted a LOCI last week and the office confirmed me last Friday that they added it to my file. At this point, what are my chances? Their ASW is April 8-9, so I'm wondering if the office will try to get as many people as they can in so they can attend?

How many students are the in Stanford Law Class of 2019 Facebook group so far? And how active is Stanford at picking people off their waitlist? Is the waitlist large to begin with?

Sorry for the list of questions... trying to figure out where I stand!

Check this out:
http://mylsn.info/r/pre-law/timeline/graph/

You can enter in Stanford and the admissions cycle you want to look at, and it will give you a graph showing when admissions decisions typically come out. Keep in mind this is based on a small, self-reported sample.

What you'll find for Stanford is that it's pretty up in the air, decisions will trickle in up until the end of April (so you won't necessarily receive a decision before ASW).

Thanks for the chart! Wow, that's not pretty, though... Almost certainly will get dinged later this month.

Well, it's a game of last man standing. If you go a day without getting dinged, that's a good thing!

I do think some acceptances are sure to be coming soon, though. So, stay tuned friends and try not to go completely bonkers.

I interpret this to mean that most of us--with rare exception--will be waitlisted or even dinged at the end of April, after Stanford counts up their deposits on or around April 15 and before their "promised" notification date of April 30. Then, for those on the waitlist, the waiting continues... :?

You sure you sent it to the right email address? I think everyone who has sent a loci has received some sort of receipt or confirmation.
Yup, just double checked. Sent to admissions@law.stanford.edu. I don't know any other way of checking if they got it besides emailing them again....

You should email again or call to ask. I sent in mine 1pm EST today and got a confirmation email by dinner. I specifically asked them to reply when they receive my email, though.

Did you include your lsac number in the email or letter?
Included lsac# in both email and letter. I'm going to call the office first thing tomorrow and check if they received it. Thanks everyone!

I didn't get a response for a month so I sent it again. They said they'd already gotten it, so you can ask but I'd bet it's been received. If It counts for anything I haven't been dinged yet and this was a couple weeks ago, so I wouldn't read too far into it

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
