It's not actually for me. I'm a 2L somewhere else, but this happened to a friend of mine, and I didn't really have anything to say to him about what it might mean. Was wondering if anyone else out there had received a request so I could help him maybe make sense of it.

It sounds to me like YP. I think he just needs to be prepared to answer convincingly why he wants to come here.

I've heard that they only take people from the wait list that are really serious about coming if accepted. I think that all applicants that are pulled from wait list are interviewed before, so the interview might be a good sign

Well there are 299 people in the facebook group for class of 2018. I think they usually shoot for a class of around 320. There are probably some students that aren't in the group, and additionally there might be students in the group who will withdraw by the next deadline. So bottomline, who knows? The suspense is killing me. I wish we could just know, one way or the other!
