I haven't done the work of sifting through 2017's and 2016's applicant threads, but does Stanford always admit on a strictly chronological basis? I submitted right at the end of October and am trying to keep my hopes up.

I noticed today that my account for the Stanford status checker is gone. When I go to recover password, it says my username is invalid. Does this mean a rejection is on the way?
Edit - Never mind, realized when reading back in the thread there are two status checks and I looked at the wrong one. Phew.

Well, that means Stanford should be approaching January applicants... Hopefully... Please Stanford consider me.

From mylsn's timeline feature it looks like last years admits we're roughly consecutive at first, then they went back and made decisions about everyone who had been passed over. The year before that was less chronological though.titusandronicus wrote:I haven't done the work of sifting through 2017's and 2016's applicant threads, but does Stanford always admit on a strictly chronological basis? If you are a splitter (like I am!) you'll probably hear back later, after the initial (semi) chronological admits. It's sad to see people who submitted after you get admitted - but stay strong!

FYI for those who care to track such things, the c/o 18 Facebook Group now has 79 members, so there's much good news yet to be shared!

If I'm an early December complete does that mean that I should expect that I've been either held/ or waitlisted/dinged if I didn't get the call yesterday?

lol yikes, the lack of January submits in the Admit pile is... concerning. Maybe this year will be different since they didn't start making calls until much later?cc78 wrote:Had this response ITT yesterday:lawapp1 wrote:If I'm an early December complete does that mean that I should expect that I've been either held/ or waitlisted/dinged if I didn't get the call yesterday?

Fudging it makes sense to me, but at some point they have to catch up to get to the deadline with their target number of offers out. Keep hope alive!leslieknope wrote: lol yikes, the lack of January submits in the Admit pile is... concerning. Maybe this year will be different since they didn't start making calls until much later?

Admitted via email this morning. (Missed the phone call.) I submitted in early November, so it definitely seems they're not going in strict chronological order. PM if you'd like more info and good luck to everybody.

Faye sounds a little unhinged todayhttp://blogs.law.stanford.edu/admission ... nd-wheels/
And what about those candy hearts with such sweet messages? BE MINE. I’M YOURS. KISS ME. TRUE LOVE. YOU AND ME. SEND CASH. Oh, wait, scratch that last one. Hearts all over the place. Too many red roses. Chocolate this and chocolate that. Too much pink and too much sugar.
