Decision Letter Sent - it's a status update on the status checker
Oh I see. Yes, I just checked my online status, says Decision letter sent, date is 12/16. But it doesn't say admit, is that weird?

A decision hasn't been made on them yet.

Should I write a Letter of Continued Interest after being deferred from ED? Or is that more reserved for RD waitlists?

My opinion is that it is more for RD waitlists. Because lets say you send one now and then if by some chance you also get put on the RD waitlist, I feel like two LOCI's is too much.

Plus, wouldn't they know NYU is your first choice, and you really want to be there? You did ED.

Yeah good point. So is the fact that I started ED definitely somewhere in my application when it gets reviewed again?

I would assume so, but I don't know for sure. Maybe ask Spivey/Karen in their thread? He would definitely know the answer to that.

Can you apply to their Scholarship program after being admitted? Such as the Institute for International Law and Justice Scholars Program. Would really appreciate an answer

I would also be interested in an answer to this. The general scholarship page says all essays must be in before January 1st, but the ILJ page says essays must be submitted with the application. I'll write an email and post the response when it comes.

Got admitted about 2 weeks ago via email, but I still don't have the acceptance letter that they sent via snail mail. Should I be worried?

I'm in the same position. I contacted Admissions and was told the letter had been sent and that I shouldn't worry. The email also said to contact NYU next week if the letter still hasn't arrived.

Hello. I've been UR since 11/6 and still no word. Should I be worried? I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks.

No, not until you get bumped. I imagine law schools will slow down over the next few weeks to see how the December numbers look, but they won't bump anyone, except for those with ridiculously low numbers, before the new year.
