In! The size of the letter was a little worrisome at first.

Any thoughts on being invited to interview with an alum?

I was invited to a Georgetown group interview. From the previous posts I could find, it doesn't seem like anyone was able to determine exactly what the criteria is for being invited, and even whether or not it's a good thing to be invited. From what I could glean from the past topics, it seems like they may just invite anyone within a reasonable distance from the city Dean Cornblatt is visiting in order to get a first-hand impression of as many candidates as possible. Anyone else have further insight into these interviews?

Just finished a group interview at Georgetown. At the end, Dean Cornblatt noted that he is trying to do enough interviews to see 1,000 applicants this cycle, and historically, roughly 40% of those who are interviewed are accepted.

From what I can tell from the email I got, I wasn't invited to a group interview, just to interview with an alum in my area. But I can't find any posts about non group interviews...

Just had my alumni interview and my interviewer ended it with saying that 85% of her interviewees have been accepted. Woot.

I suppose I should be happy that that's 15% higher than last years acceptance rate, but it's still lower than I expected considering my numbers... Maybe I'm overthinking it. Eitherway, thanks. I'm gonna just try to give my best impression in the interview and take what comes from it.

Up in DC for a couple nights for some work stuff -- staying at the Washington Court Hotel across the street from GULC. Excited about walking around the campus today -- even if it is closed for the holidays!

No email, sorry.
Not even a status checker that went beyond "Complete"
Sorry :?

The only things that changed for me were that my status checker went to "Application Complete" and my requirements list now has "Official Final Undergraduate Transcript" and "Certification Form" in it. But that doesn't seem to be consistent for all those admitted.

My application went complete on 11/11, I was e-mailed about the group interview on 11/26. I didn't receive any request for an alumni interview.

I think it got the group interview invite within a week of going complete and the alumni interview about two weeks after turning down the group interview invitation
