It was a tough choice and took a lot of consideration, but I withdrew my application. $80k back in the pot. Good luck to everyone!

Based on last year's thread, the deposit deadline fell on a Friday, and the dean said that he was going to start on that Saturday evaluating who deposited and the waitlist; however, LSAC was down for maintenance so he had to wait until it was back up. So it looks like they may have, at the earliest, started pulling people off on that Monday, but the earliest that a TLS poster was pulled off was on that Tuesday. So I wouldn't be surprised if they began calling people today. I would almost guarantee that they will begin calling people before the week is over.

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but does Emory have different kinds of waitlists? I was put on the priority waitlist a few weeks ago, and I wasn't sure if it was the only waitlist they have.

From what I can gather, there are two wait lists: priority and regular. I am able to glean that the priority wait list exists for admissions to plug holes where they need them to be -- for diversity reasons, etc. Someone said that the priority wait list was not "better" than the regular wait list, but it would seem that priority wait listed people go first in terms of how the class gets filled.Fontaine10488 wrote:I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but does Emory have different kinds of waitlists? Re: Emory Class of 2017 (2013-2014 Cycle)
To current Emory students/informed individuals:
Been looking for a place to stay, and I mostly see summer sublets. Any idea when the Emory Housing Pseudo-Craiglist / Real Craigslist posts for Fall will start trickling in?
To incoming students:
I'm looking for a roommate(s). My two needs are pet-friendly and washer/dryer (not connections, but the actual machines). That takes out Campus Crossings and Post Briarcliff for me. So, anyone looking to a grab a house/apartment that can fulfill my need of having my cat chill on a spin-cycle, send me a PM.

** Added Bonus of being my roomie **
I have a car and can happily chauffeur to school/groceries/social gatherings. I'm a permanent designated driver since I don't drink, too. I also have Netflix/Hulu/HBOgo accounts (I know, sick) and an AppleTV so we can best BFF munching on pizza while watching the latest GoT/Mad Men/Kitchen Nightmares episodes.
To everyone else:
Thanks for reading even though it doesn't pertain to you. I'll shake your hand if I meet you in real life.

I have been using this website and almost everyone has gotten back to me. Be warned though, the rental house market is insane right now. I haven't checked any apartments or townhomes though. Hope this helps and good luck!

Does anyone know if we can enroll in or audit classes at the business school without being enrolled in the JD/MBA program?

you can take three hours of business course (basically one class) as part of your 90 hours. I am not sure if you can audit/take others not for credit beyond that. I would guess yes, but could be wrong.HRomanus wrote:Does anyone know if we can enroll in or audit classes at the business school without being enrolled in the JD/MBA program?

Thank you for answering. Does anyone know how long it will take for those who have been placed on priority waitlist to start hearing back?

Re: Emory Class of 2017 (2013-2014 Cycle)
anyone hear about the 444 highland dorms? does anybody have experience with them or know anything about them. they look like a student off campus dorm facility, they start at $695/month for a furnished studio room including internet and utilities/water, you also get access to a nearby gym next door or something. there google reviews look kinda sketch. idk i'm considering it though. it's 4 miles away from campus
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
